The Venue

  • WesterUnie + WesterLiefde + Transformatorhuis
  • Amsterdam Three interconnected venues tucked inside the industrial-chic Westergas complex, surrounded by leafy parkland and old gasworks architecture:
  • WesterUnie is the raw warehouse beast of the trio—exposed beams, concrete floors, massive sound, and three distinct areas that sprawl into each other during big parties. Expect a wild crowd and no-nonsense energy.
  • WesterLiefde brings charm to the chaos—brick walls, cathedral windows, and a slightly more intimate vibe. Often used for daytime events, drag takeovers, or pre-parties.
  • Transformatorhuis has a stripped-back theatrical elegance—minimalist brick interiors and solid acoustics. Great for shows, installations, and DJ sets with a story. From Dam Square: Take tram 5 or 17 westbound (towards Osdorp Dijkgraafplein or Westergasfabriek) and get off at Van Hallstraat. Walk 5 minutes into the Westergas complex. Taxi takes about 10 minutes.
  • Stay close to the party at the Conscious Hotel Westerpark, housed in a historic building with superb rooms, delicious breakfast options and designer rooms.
  • An Uber costs about 12 EUR from the hotel to the centre.

Getting There

  • Take tram 5 or 17 westbound (towards Osdorp Dijkgraafplein or Westergasfabriek) and get off at Van Hallstraat.
  • Walk 5 minutes into the Westergas complex.
  • Taxi takes about 10 minutes.
