Outdoor Venue – Summer Edition 2026
- Built for the 1929 International Exhibition, Poble Espanyol is an open-air architectural museum set on Montjuïc hill.
- Inside, you’ll find a winding network of replica streets, courtyards, and plazas from across Spain – from Andalusian whitewashed alleys to Catalan Romanesque cloisters.
- At night, it transforms into a striking venue with open-air stages, courtyards lit with fairy lights, and long stone corridors that echo with music.
- It’s hosted everything from electronic festivals to flamenco shows, and the acoustics are surprisingly good for a site this historic.
- There’s room to breathe and dance, and the elevated location gives a sense of being somewhere apart from the city — while still right in the middle of it.
Getting There
- Getting there from Eixample: By taxi: Around 10–15 minutes, depending on traffic. Ask for “entrada de Poble Espanyol, Montjuïc.” Expect to pay €10–€15.
- By metro and walking: Take the L1 (Red Line) or L3 (Green Line) to Espanya station. From there, it’s a 15-minute uphill walk to the entrance — follow the signs or take the escalators behind the Arenas shopping centre to shortcut some of the climb.
- By bus: Bus lines 150 or 55 from Plaça Espanya will drop you close to the venue (ask for “Poble Espanyol”).
