Amsterdam Leather Pride 2027

Join Amsterdam’s leather and fetish community for a packed weekend of parties, meet-ups and special events in the city’s famous gay district. Leather Pride Amsterdam attracts guys from across Europe for one of the year’s biggest fetish weekends.

The Event

  • Amsterdam Leather and Fetish Pride celebrates its 31st edition, bringing five days of leather, rubber, pups, sportswear, BDSM, social events, title contests and men-only play parties to the Dutch capital.
  • Opening drinks and community gatherings, with smaller bar events offering an easy way to meet people before the main parties.
  • Leather and rubber title contests, bring candidates, titleholders and their supporters together for stage appearances and community celebrations.
  • Invasion is the flagship men-only fetish party, with DJs, performances and dedicated cruising and play areas. Its fetish dress code is part of the appeal.

The Venues

  • Bears Amsterdam – Sint Jacobsstraat 6. A bear bar with a strong fetish identity, a social bar area and a separate playroom. Welcomes bears and their friends, including women and non-binary guests.
  • Eagle Amsterdam – Warmoesstraat 90. An established fetish club with a bar, darkroom and cruising spaces. Men-only during regular hours, with selected events welcoming other parts of the LGBTQI+ community. Check the individual party’s admission policy.
  • The Cuckoo’s Nest – Nieuwezijds Kolk 6. A men-only bar for guests aged 18 and over, combining straightforward drinks at the bar with a darkroom. Regular admission is free, with a drink purchase required on each visit.
  • Dirty Dicks – Warmoesstraat 86. A long-running gay cruising bar spread across two floors, close to Eagle Amsterdam. Cabins, slings and darkroom spaces support a programme of themed fetish and cruising sessions.
  • PRIK – A pink gay cocktail bar with a terrace, drinks, bites and a mixed crowd of locals and visitors. A sociable meeting point for community drinks and smaller gatherings.
  • Akhnaton – Nieuwezijds Kolk 25. An independent cultural and event venue with a long history of live music and club nights. Its performance space provides a setting for title contests and stage-led community events.
  • IJland – Tt. Vasumweg 171, Amsterdam-Noord. A waterfront event venue across the IJ from the city centre, with industrial-style spaces for larger productions. For fetish parties, cruising and play facilities are event installations rather than the venue’s everyday format.

Where to Stay

Stay close to Warmoesstraat, the centre of Amsterdam’s leather and fetish scene, with Eagle Amsterdam, Dirty Dicks and the main cruising bars within walking distance. The Old Centre also offers easy access to Central Station and connections to the larger parties at IJLand in Amsterdam North.

Meltdown 2027

  • Friday – Meltdown is the new Friday-night headline event at IJLand, running from 22:00 to 05:00.
  • Kinky Hub, Bear Bash, Damage and Headrush join the festival for a large dance party bringing leather, rubber, bears, pups and other fetish communities together. Expect DJs, a large dance floor and dedicated cruising areas.

Mr Leather Netherlands 2027

  • Saturday – The Mr Leather Netherlands election takes place at Akhnaton on Friday from 20:00 to 23:00.
  • Candidates appear before the audience and jury, with the jury assessment and public vote deciding who will represent the Dutch leather community during 2028.

Invasion

  • Saturday – Invasion is the main men-only party of the weekend, taking over IJLand from 22:00 to 05:00 on Saturday. The industrial waterfront venue combines a large dance floor, international DJs, live shows, dark spaces and an extensive play area.
  • A strict fetish dress code applies. Accepted looks include leather, rubber, uniforms, neoprene, pup gear, sportswear, PVC, harnesses, boots, skin, medical and creative fetish outfits. Street clothes are not accepted.

The Canal Cruise

  • Saturday –  XXXLeather Fetish Canal Cruise (12:00 to 14:00, ): Join XXXLeather, and of course many Leather and Fetish lovers on this unique two hour cruise through the Amsterdam Canals.

Final Sunday

  • Sunday offers several ways to close the weekend: the No Goodbyes Brunch at PRIK, Spandex and Lycra at Dirty Dicks, Horsemen and Knights XXL at Eagle Amsterdam, and the free Fetish Socials United gathering at Bears Amsterdam.

Election and Party Host Venue

  • Undercurrent/iJland – Inside, a massive dance floor drives the rhythm with top international DJs. Dark corners invite discovery, while a fully equipped play zone offers space for exploration and expression. Expect seductive performances, live fetish shows, and a powerful sense of connection throughout the night.
  • The Venue sits right on the IJ water’s edge, with two halls (a larger 500 m² glass-fronted one and a more intimate 105 m² former auditorium) plus expansive outdoor spaces, including a 300 m² terrace over water and a festival garden for larger setups.
  • The look is raw industrial + minimal, offering a clean slate for custom décor, external catering and flexible layout.

Getting to the Parties

  • By taxi: about 15–20 minutes (traffic dependent) to Tt. Vasumweg 171, Amsterdam North.
  • By tram + ferry: From Central Station, walk to the IJ-side exit, take a free GVB ferry across the IJ to the northern bank (ferries across the IJ are free ) then use bus lines (e.g. 391, 394, 395) or metro line 52 to reach near IJland / Undercurrent.
