Where to Party?

• Before you start planning your trip, it's important to note that most of the parties held during Xlsior take place along the close to Paradise Beach. There are no super clubs in the centre of Mykonos old town. Consider this when planning where to stay.
• Platis Gialos Beach is an excellent choice if you want to party at night in Mykonos town, wake up to the beach in the morning and take the boat to the Xlsior party.
• Stay in Platis Gialos at The Argo Hotel, offering guests a “Superb” stay, just 2 minutes from the beach.
• Explore the entire Island in your Jeep. Reserve in advance.

Staying in Mykonos – Insider tips

• The party schedule is pretty intense, so it’s a good idea to have a few days either side to get yourself situated, and to have a few days to relax before going back to work.
• Try and paces your parties; it's impossible to do all the events and stay sane. If you can, try and catch the opening at the WE Party  The MEAT Party always gets the best reviews from our readers as does the Beach party.
• If you want to stay close to the bars and restaurants, stay in the Old Town, known as Chora (or for some weird reason known as Mykonos City on some booking portals)
• Daytime, gay boys tend to hit the beaches (Mostly around Elia Beach or Super Paradise Beach – Home to Jackie O Beach Club) and at night in the old town for dinner and drinks.

Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

• Breakfast – Check out The Liberty Breakfast Room with its stunning view and all-day dining options! Try the Poached eggs served on farmer’s brown bread and a bed of Naxos gruyere cheese and ham, fresh fruit salad and Nutella pancakes. – 5 Mins from the old town
• Lunch – Pay a visit to “Pinky Beach” and enjoy a superb menu offering an eclectic menu with great local fish and meat dishes.  Enjoy live jazz saxophone as you soak up the sublime atmosphere in a world of crisp shades of white and blue, champagne and sunshine! – 14 Mins from the old town.
• Dinner – No trip to Mykonos would be complete without a visit to Interni. Yes, perhaps it is a little pretentious, but this is Mykonos after all where the world wears its style on its sleeve. The food quality and variety has a well-deserved reputation and the service is impeccable. Interni also has some of the best wines on the island.  – Located in the old town.

Recommended Hotels in Mykonos

Mykonos is an expensive destination, there is simply no denying its allure and its price point. Hotels in the old town fill up first, along with the cheaper hotel options close to the parties. 4 and 5 star hotels charge a premium, however you do get what you pay for and the experience is second to none.

Mykonos Old Town

• BoHo Suites –  Rated Superb, offering superb suites complete with hot tubs!
• Belvedere Hotel – Classic favourite, with superb pool. If you can get get a room here, book it!
• Rochari – Another readers' choice hotel, rated “Superb”. You are likely to bump into a celebrity or two here. (nice ones)
• The Boheme – Town Centre  – The lemonade served on arrival is homemade from fruit grown in the hotel’s walled herb garden. A two-minute walk from Mykonos Town and its many lively restaurants.
• Absolut Mykonos Suites & More –With 33 rooms, Not too big, not too small – Absolut Mykonos Suites & More is just right. The location is also perfect for evening dining and partying.

The ultra-luxury hotels tend to be located outside of the main town.

• Lyo – Super Paradise Beach – 18 bedrooms are spread beneath a series of low-rise buildings, giving the feel of an intimate hill-top hamlet. In high summer, Super Paradise’s beautiful sandy bay, a five-minute stroll down the hill, transforms into a heaving, hedonistic party zone with crowds drawn to beach clubs such as the magnificently razzly Jackie O. Those who prefer to sip rather than spray their Champagne will probably plump for Lyo’s super-quiet, open-air bar with sublime sea views.
• Branco Mykonos – Just 4km from the centre of Mykonos but on another planet as far as guests are concerned, this venue is sublime. Great beach access without the long taxi journey!
