Long famous for its warm and welcome attitude to gay people from around the world Miami Beach Gay Pride first took place in 2009.
Miami Beach Gay Pride is an extraordinary ten-day event that features a Beach Party and a Festival & Parade with more than 125 LGBT-friendly vendors and businesses, exciting celebrities, musical performances, refreshments, food and a family-friendly play area.

Miami Pride

- Miami Beach Gay Pride has grown into the largest event of the year in Miami Beach attracting more than 80,000 people from all walks of life, all parts of the country, and all age groups.
- The pride festivities culminate in the final weekend of the event featuring a colourful pride parade and two days of parties in Lummus park with live shows, drag performances and a dance stage.

Flag Raising and Parade of Lights
- Typically the first Thursday of the event – Celebrate the official Miami Beach Pride Gay Flag Rising ceremony at 6 pm at Miami Beach City Hall.
- The event is followed by an evening of “Pride Lights the Night” from 7.30 pm where the beach front’s iconic buildings along Lincoln Road will light up in the colours of the rainbow.(Switch on takes place at Euclid Oval At Lincoln Road and Euclid).
Miami Beach Pride Festival
- Typically the final Saturday & Sunday of the event – The Miami Beach Pride evening Dance Festival and VIP Gala takes place on the final Saturday and Sunday of the event in Lummus park.
- Grand Marshal and Headline Performer: Billy Porter
- Acts include: Farina, Mila Jam, Kimberly Nichole, Kayne The Lovechild, Jessica Wild, DJ Alex Acosta, DJ Guy Scheiman, DJ Alexis Tucci, DJ Sushiman, DJ Robbie Leslie and DJ Gunn
- Stay close to the park at the Tony Hotel South Beach with state of the art amenities and art-deco designed rooms.
The Stages
- Love Spirit Entertainment Stage: Featuring a headlining talent on the south side of the festival, there will be a variety of high-energy performances on Saturday beginning at Noon and Sunday beginning at 2 p.m.
- HealthyMD Dance Stage: For all of festival goers who come to dance, this is the place to be! With a stellar lineup of your favorite DJs, this stage will kick off on Saturday beginning at Noon and Sunday beginning at 2 p.m.
- Capital One Cafe Community Stage; A stage featuring up-and-coming talent, so come find your new favorites!
- The Hotel Gaythering, is men-only,“Fabulous” rated hotel, home to some of the hottest pre-drinks parties in Miami with comfortable rooms a self service spa, steam room and sauna.
Pride Parade
- Awaiting dates – The main event, The Miami Beach Pride Parade completes the festivities on the final Sunday.
- Grand Marshall Billy Porter with Lisa Rinna and June Diane Raphael.
- The Parade starts at 12 midday and runs the length of Ocean Drive along the Art Deco district. .
- The spectators start to line the streets at about 10am to get the best spots, remember to take water with you so you don’t dehydrate.
- Miami Beach Pride Parade ends at Lummus Park, host of the Miami Beach Pride Festival.

Urge Miami Circuit Parties
- Awaiting dates and venue- Urge Miami hosts the biggest Saturday Night Pride Party from 10 pm to 5 am.
- The party takes over some of the biggest clubs in Miami with guest DJs, sexy dancers and a circuit party vibe.
Maim Beach Pride After Parties
- Awaiting dates – Lets Get Loud presented by LPN After parties and Climax Miami host a weekend of circuit parties together with LPN, including the official Beach pride after hours on Saturday morning from 4am , and the closing party on Sunday night.
Gay Miami
- The South Beach district in Miami Beach is the heart of the city’s gay scene. Start your visit at the LGBT Visitor Center for information to enrich your gay vacation.
- If you’re a beach lover, head to the beach between 11th and 12th streets, a popular gay hangout. The gaybourhood is home to two popular gay hotels, AxelBeach Miami and Hôtel Gaythering.
