Prague Easter markets: over a hundred stalls with handcrafted products, sweets, food and Czech beer. Daily at the Wenceslas Square and Old Town Square.
The Prague Easter markets run for about three weeks, starting two weeks before Easter Sunday and stretching for one more week after Easter. They are open every day of the week. The largest Prague Easter markets are those on the Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square.
At Old Town Square there will be more than 90 stands offering traditional Czech products such as beautifully decorated Easter eggs, laces, wooden toys and puppets and various Easter decorations. Every day the markets are visited by 10,000 people looking for some great shopping as well as entertaining cultural program. The schedule includes music and dance performances, demonstrations of old arts and crafts, decorating Easter eggs and making candles.
Prague is a great city for sightseeing, try and take some time to see the some of what the city has to offer like Prague Castle, The Astronomical Clock, The Municipal House, Old Town’s Jewish Quarter and the Dancing Building, to name just a few of the wonderful things you should take the time to see.
We have found that the best place to stay is in the old town of Prague as this makes a good base, the gay bars and clubs a little spread out, but most are within walking distance from the old town, and the others just a short taxi ride away,
Here are the hotels we recommend that have good reviews and keep you close to all the action
Hotel Rott, U Prince, Perla Hotel, Boutique Hotel Seven Days.
