Furball Amsterdam celebrates 20 years of bringing bears, cubs, chubs, chasers and their admirers together for one of the city’s longest-running men-only dance and cruise parties. Its anniversary edition promises an extended night of DJs, dancing and cruising at Club chUrch, right in the heart of Amsterdam’s Canal Belt.

The Venue – Club chUrch

- One of Amsterdam’s best-known gay fetish clubs, with a dance floor, darkrooms, private cabins and dedicated cruising areas.
- Its central location makes it convenient for visitors staying around Leidseplein, the Canal Belt and Rembrandtplein.
- From Leidseplein, walk along Leidsestraat towards Kerkstraat and turn onto Kerkstraat. The club is approximately five minutes away on foot.
- Amsterdam Centraal is around 15-20 minutes away by tram and walking, depending on the service.

Amsterdam’s gay nightlife is spread across several compact districts. Kerkstraat and Leidseplein are closest to Furball, while Warmoesstraat has the strongest concentration of leather and cruising venues. Reguliersdwarsstraat is better for cocktails, music and a more mainstream gay crowd.
- Spijker Bar – Kerkstraat 4. A longstanding gay bar just along the street from Furball, with a pool table, local regulars and an upstairs cruising area. The most convenient place for drinks before the party.

- Dirty Dick’s – Warmoesstraat 86. A compact gay cruising bar beside Eagle, with dark areas and a more intimate atmosphere. Check the venue’s own current details before visiting.
- The Cuckoo’s Nest – Nieuwezijds Kolk 6. A traditional men-only cruising bar with a basement play area, popular with visitors who prefer an earlier start.
- PRIK – Spuistraat 109. A friendly gay cocktail bar with a terrace, relaxed crowd and creative drinks. A good choice for meeting friends before moving on to the fetish bars.
- Taboo Bar – Reguliersdwarsstraat 45. A lively gay bar with cocktails, music and regular entertainment, particularly convenient for guests staying around Rembrandtplein.
For the most convenient route, start with a drink at Spijker Bar and walk directly to Club chUrch. If you want to explore Amsterdam’s cruising district first, visit Warmoesstraat earlier in the evening and allow time to get back to Kerkstraat before the party.
