Vancouver Gay Pride is not just a celebration for gays & lesbians. It’s a celebration of diversity & anybody who shares the ‘life is a cabaret’ spirit.
Vancouver gay pride is one of the most largest prides in North America and takes place in the sizzling Canadian Summer months of July & August attracting thousands of people from all around the world.
Vancouver Pride Week – The Event
- Next Edition: Awaiting dates- Vancouver Pride Week features a host of gay parties, events, cultural activities, concerts and circuit parties.
- Events end with the main parade on the final Sunday of the celebrations.
- Vancouver Pride always falls on the Sunday of the BC Day Long Weekend which ends on the 2nd of August in 2027.
- It is one of Western Canada’s leading LGBTQ+ celebrations, bringing a packed programme of community events, outdoor parties, drag shows and major club nights to the city.
- The final weekend features the Vancouver Pride Parade and a large Pride Festival in Davie Village, the historic heart of Vancouver’s LGBTQ+ community.
- Stay in the West End for easy access to the gay bars, English Bay for the main Pride celebrations.
The Gay Village
- Hotels in Davie Village can fill up fast so book early. There are some great places to stay in West End area which is a short walk from the village.

Vancouver Pride Parade (Canada Pride)
- Sunday – Awaiting dates – The parade makes its way through Davie Village.
- The procession heads from east to west this year, a reversal from previous events, starting at Pacific Boulevard near Griffiths Way.
- The parade ends at the Davie Village Pride Festival, which will take over Davie Street between Burrard and Jervis streets.
- Upgrade your Pride Vancouver experience at The Opus, rated “Wonderful” by guests, located on Davie Street, close to the parade route and parties.
Davie Village Pride Festival
- Awaiting dates – Sunday – The parade ends at the Davie Village Pride Party
- The Vancouver Pride Festival takes over Davie Street and Nelson Park after the parade, bringing the celebrations back to the heart of the city’s LGBTQ+ neighbourhood.
- Expect live music, drag performances, DJs, community organisations, market vendors, licensed outdoor areas and extended patios.
- The Davie Street Party isn’t just an adult affair: from 4pm – 6pm, the street party with be free and all-ages. At 6pm, there will be a 19+, ticketed area for adults only.
- Stay close to the parties at The Level Yaletown, rated “Excellent” by guests, featuring stylish apartments with high end amenities, a pool, hot tub, modern gym and high end amenities.
Vancouver Men’s Chorus Presents: The Big Gay Sing
- Awaiting dates and venue — A lively Pride sing-along with Canada’s first LGBTQ+ men’s chorus.
Burnaby Pride Festival
- Awaiting dates — Annual festival with performances, food trucks, lawn games, and community booths. Location: Burnaby Civic Square, 6100 Willingdon Ave. Time: 3 to 7 p.m.
Cirque du Slay
- Awaiting dates — Drag and circus performance with aerial acrobatics and comedy by an all-queer cast. 19+ event. Location: The Rio Theatre, 1660 E Broadway. Time: Doors at 7 p.m., show at 8 p.m.
Public Disco Pride Block Party
- Awaiting dates — Largest queer dance party in Mount Pleasant with two stages, art walk, and food market. 19+ event. Location: West 3rd Avenue and Ontario Street. Time: 4 to 11:30 p.m.
Menagerie XL Circuit Weekend
- Awaiting dates – Vancouver Pride hosts some of the biggest circuit parties in North America.
- Menagerie XL features three days and nights of events with world class DJs, taking over some of the city’s biggest venues to host parties including an epic Harbour Event and convention takeover, a block party, boat cruise events and more.
The Gay Agenda Pride Vancouver Weekend
- Awaiting dates – The Gay Agenda brings together three epic parties over the Pride weekend including Cruise, Bear Puddle and the Pride Weekend Closing party in some of the city’s top destinations.
Queers and Beers Pride Block Party
- Awaiting dates — Patio party with craft beer, food trucks, live music and DJs at the Birdhouse in Mount Pleasant. 19+ event. Location: The Birdhouse parking lot and adjacent block on 4th Avenue. Time: 1 to 8 p.m.

- Vancouver’s Pride Week has plenty of events for those seeking to join the festivities, culminating in the Pride Parade on the Sunday.
- The days and weeks leading up to the parade and festival are always packed with spectacular events that are officially part of the fabulous Pride fun.
- Notable events include the East Side Pride, a family friendly event in Grandview Park near Commercial Drive and The Picnic in the Park at Stanley Park.
