The Program

Bears on the Beach
- Saturday – 12-5 pm: Bears on the Beach – the Bears take over Key West’s LGBTQ beach, Fort Zachary Beach
- Fort Zachary Beach is an 8-minute drive or 30-minute walk from Duval Street.
- It is affectionately nicknamed Fort Liz Taylor Beach by the LGBTQ community.
The Venues
- Island House – An 8-minute walk from the Key West Bight Ferry Terminal, this buzzing resort for gay men is less than a mile from restaurants and bars on Duval Street.
- Host the daytime pool parties and several evening events, including a welcome party, silent disco and farewell drinks.
- The Bird Cage Cabaret – Formerly Sidebar, part of the Aquaplex complex in Key West.
- It has an enlarged stage, plush cabaret-style seating, and a sound system that’ll knock your socks off, all wrapped up with a full bar service to keep the night lively.

- Fort Zachary Beach – Located at the island’s westernmost point, this historic state park features a stunning sandy beach with pristine waters, perfect for swimming and sunbathing.
- In addition to enjoying the beach, guests can explore a well-preserved fort from the Civil War era, offering a historical aspect to their seaside escape.
- A modest entrance fee is required to access the park and beach area, regardless of whether you bring a car. It’s an excellent place to watch the sunset!
