DTLA Pride
- Friday to Sunday – Late August – Awaiting dates – Founded by a grassroots group of local residents, business owners, community leaders and nightlife promoters, DTLA Pride was born from the idea that together they could create an all-inclusive festival that represents the diverse LGBTQ+ population that lives, works and plays in the thriving heart of the city of Los Angeles.
- Running over an entire weekend, the event is an electrifying celebration of love, diversity, and empowerment featuring DJs, drag queens, live performances and fabulous people!
- Waiting theme for the 2024 edition.
The Schedule
- 4.pm to 10.pm Friday – Evening festivities will launch with all-ages entertainment.
- 12.pm to 10,pm Saturday and Sunday – DTLA turns up the heat and features a diverse array of stage performances, DJs, local bars, community booths, art installations, LGBTQ+ vendors, food trucks and everyone’s favorite pop-up waterpark dance party, Summertramp.
- DTLA has become one of the hottest neighbourhoods in the city over the past 4 years and the DLTA Proud event puts the centre of the city on the gay map each August.
The Venue
- DTLA Pride takes over Grand Park on 200 N Grand Ave, Los Angeles, CA, 90012. Located in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles, Gloria Molina Grand Park is a 12-acre civic park, stretching from The Music Center to City Hall
- The new Grand Park, with its majestic views features multiple spaces not only for casual sitting and leisurely strolling, but also for civic gatherings and events.
Downtown LA
- Downtown LA has undergone a resurgence of late. New hotels, restaurants, gay bars and museums pop up every month, and the scene constantly changes.
- Redline hosts some rather vicious drag acts! Downtown’s primary attraction is Precinct, a colossal space hosting weekend events bringing new life to what was once a forgotten district.
