The Venue
- Location: Grand Park is a 12-acre park located in the civic center of Downtown Los Angeles (DTLA). It stretches from the Los Angeles City Hall at its southern end to the Music Center at its northern end. It is bordered by some of the city’s most iconic governmental and cultural buildings.
- From West Hollywood: West Hollywood is approximately 10 miles to the west of Grand Park.
- Best way to get there from West Hollywood: The most straightforward way from West Hollywood would be by car or rideshare, following the route via Santa Monica Boulevard and then the US-101 South, which takes you right into the heart of Downtown LA.
- Interesting Facts: The park is dotted with a unique variety of plants from around the world and has been designed to be a modern, urban oasis. An intriguing secret is the Arthur J. Will Memorial Fountain which, after its renovation, has a new wade-able membrane pool. There’s a hidden splash pad area where kids (and adults!) can play and cool down on hot days.
- Gay DTLA: Downtown Los Angeles is quite gay-friendly and welcoming. The city itself, especially areas like West Hollywood, is renowned for its LGBTQ+ community and events.
