Cathedral City LGBT Days 2027

Come celebrate diversity at the Cathedral City LGBT Days each year in March, California’s first Pride-style weekend of the year, just 15 minutes drive from downtown Palm Springs.

The Event

  • Next Edition – Awaiting dates, typically Friday to Sunday in early March.
  • Cathedral City Festival activities include an opening night kickoff party, bed parade and a bed race, exhibitor marketplace and a outdoor stage with live entertainment.
  • The competition is fierce, the guys are sexy and the atmosphere is electric.
  • Events typically kick off on Friday with the official opening at city hall. On Saturday, enjoy a range of celebrations including poolside brunch parties and live performances at the Cathedral City Community Amphitheater.
  • Other highlights include the Pride Drone Show, Vendor Market and VIP Breakfast brunch.
  • Continue the party at the local bars including The Roost, OneEleven, Barracks Bar, Trunks, AMP Sports Lounge and CBCC Resort/Runway Bar.

Friday

  • Opening Ceremony 5:00pm-6:00pm – Pride flag raising and City Hall lighting: The official start of the Cathedral City LGBT Days with the Pride flag raising and illumination of City Hall. Location: City Hall.
  • Followed by the Pride Drone Show Watch Party at The Roost Lounge.

Saturday

  • 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM – Don't miss the CommUNITY Strong Walk,
  • 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM – Soak up the sun at the Pride Pool Party with DJ Bobby at CCBC Resort Hotel.
  • 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM – Cathedral City LGBT+ Days Festival

Sunday – The Bed Race

  • Sunday morning at 9 am is the annual Cathedral City LGBT Days’ famous Bed Race down Avenue Lalo Guerrero.
  • Bed Race Stretch & Pre-Party: Get ready for the bed race with a stretch and pre-party. Location: City Hall, Time: 10 AM
  • Parade of Beds: A unique parade featuring beds on wheels. Location: City Hall, Time: 10:30 AM
  • Bed Race: The iconic Bed Race event. Location: City Hall, Time: 11.30 AM
  • Teams of five are encouraged to sign-up now, pick a costume theme, decorate a provided racing bed, step into some racing shoes and show the crowd what you have.
  • Four individuals will push one person sits on the bed, from the rainbow start, past City Hall, and ending at the finish line on Pickfair Street.
  • Followed by the Closing part at 2 pm.

Gay Cathedral City

  • The Roost – Gay video bar with lounge and stage on Palm Canyon. Friendly staff and drinks specials.
  • OneEleven – Relaxed gay lounge with a warm vibe offering karaoke & other entertainment, plus an outdoor patio.
  • Runway Bar – Located at the CBCC Resort offering American Casual Dining & Drinks and week-nitely entertainment on select evenings.
