The Louisville Pride Festival is the second large gay event (after Pride), to take place in Kentucky; it is the perfect weekend to say goodbye to Summer.
- Visiting for the Festival? The Highlands is a nightlife area. We suggest you stay in Downtown Louisville, and take a 7 min taxi ride to the party. Stay at the 4-star Grady Hotel, rated “Fabulous” by guests with beautifully decorated rooms in a perfect location.
The Festival

- Louisville Pride Festival is one of the city's most colorful free street events.
- The festival takes place in the Highlands neighborhood at Grinstead Drive and Bardstown Road.
- In addition to being a dining Mecca, the Highlands is also known for its eccentric collection of shops and is one of the most popular neighborhoods for local nightlife.
- The event runs from 11am to 11pm and features some of the biggest Grammy award winning acts on two stages together with famous drag artists and guest DJs.
- Other events include also features a Dance Dome, Family Zone and Wellness Zone. You'll also find more than 100 vendor booths full of Louisville arts, crafts, businesses, nonprofits, and service providers on site. Not to mention the numerous local food and drink vendors.
The Venue
- The Highlands is a lively area known for its nightlife and dining, with brewpubs and karaoke bars alongside pizzerias and celebrity chef eateries on Bardstown Road.
- It is an ideal venue for the pride festival and you can hit the local gay bars once the event ends and continue the party late into the night.
- The other major pride event in Louisville takes is the Kentuckiana Pride Festival, held at the Big Four Lawn at Waterfront Park earlier this year. The Louisville Pride Festival event is held each September as a second, slightly smaller celebration of Louisville's LGBTQA community.
