Come celebrate diversity at the Cathedral City LGBT Days each year in late March, just 15 minutes drive from downtown Palm Springs.
Festival activities include an opening night kickoff party, bed parade and a bed race, exhibitor marketplace and a outdoor stage with live entertainment. The competition is fierce, the guys are sexy and the atmosphere is electric.
Saturday morning at 10 am is the annual Cathedral City LGBT Days’ famous Bed Race.
Teams of five are encouraged to sign-up now, pick a costume theme, decorate a provided racing bed, step into some racing shoes and show the crowd what you have. Four individuals will push one person sits on the bed, from the rainbow start, past City Hall, and ending at the finish line on Pickfair Street.
Fans and spectators line-up and cheer on their favorite teams as the whisk by and head to the finish line. After the bed race enjoy music, food, and vendor booths at the festival.
Cathedral City LGBT Days is a Free event and takes place on the steps of City Hall. The quickest way to get from Palm Springs to Cathedral City is in a taxi which costs $27 – $35 and takes 11 min.
