The Boulet Brothers are bringing a mansion full of entertainment, stars, and true horror to Los Angeles this Halloween season.
Bigger and better than ever, LA’s largest haunted mansion Halloween ball takes place at the historic globe theatre, with three levels of music, horror and performances, and the event is expected to sell out quickly.

The Party
- Next Edition: Saturday, October 31, 2026
- The Boulet Brothers return to Downtown Los Angeles for the 26th Annual Los Angeles Halloween Ball, taking over all three floors of The Globe Theatre from 10pm until 3am.
- This is part queer dance party, part horror show and part costume spectacle, with multiple dance floors, stage performances, go-go monsters and the Basement of Sin running simultaneously through the historic theatre.
- Poppy headlines the 2026 edition with a special DJ set, with DJ Mateo Segade taking control of the main floor.
- HUMP Events hosts the main-floor party with its army of go-go monsters, bringing one of LA’s established underground queer party crews into the Halloween Ball.
- Downstairs, VICE takes over the Basement of Sin with FLABBERGAST, Nite Crème and DJ Naté, backed by a large cast of hosts, dancers and performers.
- The Boulet Brothers lead the Halloween Stage Spectacular, joined by Rasputin’s Marionettes, House of Ninja and Jake Dupree.
- Costumes are a major part of the night. The annual contest offers a $1,000 cash grand prize, and previous winners have gone on to appear on The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula.
- The event is 21+, with VIP tickets offering priority entry and access to the VIP mezzanine and private bar.

- The Globe Theatre – 740 S Broadway, Downtown Los Angeles, in the historic Broadway Theatre District.
- The Boulet Brothers take over all three floors, rather than containing the party to the main auditorium, giving each part of the production its own character.
- The main theatre provides the scale needed for the stage spectacular, with a large dance floor below and the original balcony and mezzanine overlooking the room.
- The Basement of Sin changes the atmosphere completely, with a darker underground party beneath the main Halloween production.
- The Globe’s theatrical architecture suits the Boulet Brothers particularly well. This feels like a Halloween ball staged inside an old theatre rather than a standard nightclub temporarily covered in decorations.
- VIP guests have access to the mezzanine and private bar, overlooking the main room.
The Halloween Stage Spectacular
The stage show is one of the main differences between the Boulet Brothers Halloween Ball and a conventional Los Angeles Halloween club night.
- The Boulet Brothers preside over the production as hosts and performers.
- Rasputin’s Marionettes brings human-sized puppets to the stage for one of the night’s stranger theatrical performances.
- House of Ninja presents a Halloween Vogue Spectacular.
- Jake Dupree brings a Halloween burlesque revue to the main stage.
- The costume contest turns the attention back onto the crowd, with a $1,000 cash prize for the winning look.
- Don’t treat your costume as an afterthought. The audience forms a substantial part of the visual spectacle, and the strongest looks compete comfortably with what is happening on stage.
HUMP & The Main Floor
- HUMP Events takes over the main floor alongside DJ Mateo Segade and headliner Poppy.
- Expect a sexier queer club atmosphere here, with HUMP’s go-go monsters moving through the production across the night.
- This is the largest and most theatrical part of the party, combining the headline DJs with the main Halloween stage shows.
- If you’re visiting primarily for Poppy or the Boulet Brothers performances, spend most of your night here but make time to explore the other floors.
VICE – Basement of Sin
- Head downstairs for VICE, the darker late-night side of the Halloween Ball.
- FLABBERGAST headlines the basement, joined by Nite Crème and DJ Naté.
- A large cast of VICE hosts, dancers and ghouls transforms the basement into its own party rather than treating it as an overflow room.
- The sound, performers and setting give the basement a harder underground identity than the theatrical main floor upstairs.
- Move between both during the night; they are deliberately designed to feel like different parties inside the same building.
The Costume Contest
- The annual costume contest returns with a $1,000 cash grand prize.
- Costumes can lean glamorous, horrific, sexual, theatrical or completely surreal – the Halloween Ball crowd rarely plays it safe.
- Previous winners have gone on to appear on The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula, giving the contest a genuine connection to the wider Boulet universe.
- If you’re planning to compete, build your night around the contest rather than arriving late and expecting to enter at the last minute.
Gay Downtown Los Angeles
The Globe is in Downtown LA rather than West Hollywood, so there is little reason to cross the city for pre-party drinks if you’re staying nearby.
- Precinct – 357 S Broadway. Downtown LA gay bar with a large patio, DJs, drag, go-go dancers and regular queer parties. It’s one of the most convenient gay venues for drinks before heading south along Broadway to The Globe.
- KISO Los Angeles – 107 W 4th Street. Queer nightclub in Downtown LA with DJs and late-night events, giving the neighbourhood another option beyond the longer-established bars.
- ANIMAL – 428 S Hewitt Street. Queer bar in the Arts District with a later-night atmosphere and a different crowd from the West Hollywood scene.
- The New Jalisco Bar – 245 S Main Street. Long-running Latino LGBTQ+ bar with dancing, drag and a local crowd. It has been part of Downtown LA’s queer nightlife for decades.
Where to Stay
- For this event, Downtown Los Angeles makes far more sense than West Hollywood. You’ll avoid crossing the city on Halloween night and can walk or take a short ride to The Globe.
- The Hoxton Downtown LA – Stylish Downtown hotel on Broadway with a rooftop pool, restaurants and a location particularly convenient for The Globe.
- Hotel Per La – Smart Downtown option in a historic building, with a rooftop pool and easy access to Broadway.
- InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown – Five-star choice with large rooms, skyline views and easy access to the wider Downtown district.
- Omni Los Angeles Hotel – Comfortable upscale option near Bunker Hill and Grand Avenue, a short ride from the Halloween Ball.
- Browse hotels in Downtown Los Angeles – Stay Downtown for the easiest Halloween night, particularly if the Boulet Brothers Ball is the main reason for your trip.
Planning Your Night
- The doors open at 10pm, and with three floors operating simultaneously, this is a party worth entering before midnight.
- Give yourself time to explore the main theatre, HUMP, the stage shows and the Basement of Sin rather than spending the whole night waiting for the headline DJ.
- If you’re staying Downtown, start with drinks locally and walk or take a short ride to The Globe.
- Avoid building the evening around West Hollywood; crossing Los Angeles on Halloween night can eat into a substantial part of the party.
- Go prepared to dress for the occasion. The Boulet Brothers Halloween Ball works best when the audience commits to the same level of horror, glamour and excess as the performers on stage.
