- The new concept puts community life at its centre, with market stalls, activities and varied entertainment creating a place to meet, socialise and celebrate.
- Organisers are moving away from the previous format’s emphasis on large music productions. Opening hours, performers and the detailed programme are awaiting publication.
- The return follows a review of the event after the larger Landiwiese editions placed pressure on the volunteer team’s finances and resources.
The Festival Location
- Kasernenareal is Zurich’s former barracks site, a spacious outdoor setting framed by historic buildings between the main railway station and the Langstrasse neighbourhood.
- Its central position makes it practical to combine the festival with dinner in Kreis 4, drinks around Langstrasse or an evening in the Old Town.
- Zeughaushof is the adjoining courtyard within the former arsenal complex and forms part of the announced festival site.
- Plan your visit around this city-centre location rather than the lakeside Landiwiese site used by earlier editions.

Where to Stay
Choose Kreis 4 and the Langstrasse area for the festival and evening restaurants, or Niederdorf for gay bars and Old Town sightseeing. A base near Zurich HB suits visitors arriving by train.
- Hotel Glockenhof Zürich – Our pick for balancing the festival with the historic centre. This four-star hotel near Bahnhofstrasse has modern rooms and a courtyard restaurant.
- 25hours Hotel Langstrasse – Best for a weekend built around nightlife and restaurants. Playful interiors, NENI, Cinchona Bar and a sauna overlooking the railway tracks give it character, with Zurich HB close by.
- Marktgasse Hotel – Boutique Old Town choice for guests who prefer narrow lanes, independent restaurants and gay bars near their doorstep. Particularly convenient for evenings around Niederdorf.
- Hotel St. Josef – Quieter three-star boutique option on Hirschengraben, near the Old Town and main station. A practical base for visitors who want central sightseeing and nightlife without staying directly on a bar street.
