What to Expect
Halloween Carnaval is a street festival rather than a conventional parade. The attraction is the crowd itself, with visitors spending hours showing off costumes, taking photographs and exploring the boulevard.
- San Vicente Boulevard: Head towards the main stage for music and the busiest festival atmosphere.
- Santa Monica Boulevard: Walk the festival route to see the most inventive costumes and groups of dressed-up friends.
- Doheny Drive and La Cienega Boulevard: The ends of the route offer alternatives to the densest central crowds.
- After 11 pm: Continue celebrating at West Hollywood’s gay bars and nightclubs, many of which organise their own Halloween events.
- Arrive early if you want photographs before the boulevard becomes particularly crowded.
