It isn’t summer in Vancouver unless you’re partying it up at Concord Park during the annual Vancouver Pride Celebrations.
The Vancouver Pride Festival is a large celebration of the LGBTQIA2+ community in the summer. One of its biggest events is the main outdoor festival. This event brings together thousands of individuals in the LGBTQ2+ community and their allies for two day of fun-filled festivities.
- Situated just a short walk from the heart of Davie Village, the Rosewood Hotel Georgia is a landmark luxury hotel. With its world-class spa, refined restaurant & bar, and outstanding guest service—including dedicated LGBTQ-friendly policies—it’s a top-tier choice for travelers seeking sophistication and proximity to the gaybourhood.
The Festival
- Next Edition: Sunday 3rd August, 2025.
- VAN Pride Festival is the main Pride Festival held over the BC Day Long Weekend, during the annual Vancouver Pride celebrations.
- A long‑awaited homecoming After a six‑year hiatus, the Davie Village Pride Festival makes a triumphant return on Sunday, beginning at 2 p.m. and wrapping up at 10 p.m.
- It transforms the heart of Vancouver’s queer neighbourhood—Davie Street from Burrard to Jervis, extending into Nelson Park—into a vibrant, all‑ages celebration that closes out Pride weekend.
- A pulsating festival finale This year’s Pride Parade will follow a reversed, shorter route, launching at Concord Pacific Place, proceeding along Pacific Avenue, and ending in Davie Village—ushering revelers straight into the festival’s “high‑energy, inclusive celebration”
- At the festival, expect live music, drag performances, DJs, roaming entertainers, licensed lounges, extended patios, and a thriving local vendor scene spilling onto the streets.
- Stay at The Burrard – A funky, retro-chic boutique gem just a block from Davie Village (1100 Burrard Street). It’s celebrated for its friendly, queer-welcoming vibe, vibrant decor, and free bike rentals—perfect for exploring the neighbourhood.
The Venue
- Nestled in the heart of Vancouver’s historic West End, Davie Street between Burrard and Jervis serves as the vibrant core of the city’s 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
- This iconic stretch is known for its rainbow crosswalks, queer-owned businesses, inclusive nightlife, and rich history as a center for activism, celebration, and community connection.
- The street is closed to vehicle traffic, allowing thousands to gather for live entertainment, outdoor patios, artisan markets, and immersive cultural programming.
- Bordered by tree-lined sidewalks and just steps from the lush Nelson Park, this stretch of Davie offers a dynamic yet walkable space that balances high-energy performances with accessible community spaces.
Nelson Park
- Nelson Park will host an all‑ages, low‑sensory zone from 2–9 p.m., featuring interactive creative stations (think button‑pressing, ribbon‑making), queer artisan stalls, community resource booths, ASL interpretation, and performances by local queer bands on the Concord Pacific Community Stage.
- The festival honours the very first Vancouver Pride Parade, which began right in that park back in 1981.
