The event is the largest annual gay celebration held anywhere outside of city Pride marches.
One Magical Weekend 2025
Orlando takes the magic up a notch in June each year with the One Magical Weekend at Disney event. The world famous resort of Disneyland undergoes a gay transformation of pool parties, circuit events and the annual Red Shirt Pride Day. And the party continues each day with some epic pool parties. Note – There is a date change. The event is earlier in 2025 in order not to conflict with WorldPride in Washington DC.
Where to stay during One Magical Weekend?
- The Host Hotel, Sheraton Lake Buena Vista sells out well in advance. In our opinion, there are better hotels nearby. (the hotel as has a 7.4 rating).
- The Candlewood Suites – Rated “Superb” by guests, the 3-star hotel is just a short 10 minute uber to most of the parks and offering a spacious outdoor pool and modern rooms. 2 minutes from the host hotel.
- Sonesta ES Suites Lake Buena Vista – Just 4 minutes from Walt Disney Resort, the Sonesta comes with a heated outdoor pool and offers guests spacious suites with a wide range of apartment-style amenities. 3 minutes from the host hotel.
- Cypress Pointe Resort – Rated “Fabulous” by guests, the resort has year-round pool free parking, spacious apartments and excellent location. 3 minutes from the host hotel.
- Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress – Another “Fabulous” rated hotel, the 4 star Hyatt has all the amenities you need for a perfect vacation, with modern rooms offering excellent balcony views and 6 on site restaurants. 4 minutes from the host hotel.
The Parties
- Thursday May 29th – Monday June 2nd 2025 – One Magical Weekend’s Daytime events revolve around the pool with poolside parties each day from noon until early evening.
- Three signature parties take place, Riptide, RED and The Pride Ball, one each day followed by a series of late night after parties.
3-Day Therapy Pool Parties at the Sheraton Lake Buena Vista Resort
- Friday June 6th, Saturday June 7th, Sunday June 8th- Enjoy 3-days of sunshine, dancing & cocktails alongside 2 resort-style pools at One Magical Weekend’s THERAPY Pool Parties.
RIPTIDE at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Waterpark
- Friday -| 8PM – 2AM – Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Waterpark is converted into a big gay dance party event, One Magical Weekend’s RIPTIDE party!
- The weekend’s signature event once again washes ashore Disney’s entire 52-acre fantasy water park. 6,000 party animals clad in little more than a bathing suit dancing to the beats of International guest DJs.
- Catch the latest 2 additional rides. Board Miss Adventure Falls treasure raft and hit the high seas for crazy fun during the longest ride in the history of the Disney water parks.
- The park is open until 2am along with some of the most popular rides. So get hot dancing with hot guys in speedos and cool down after in the “Gusher”.
- Featuring international guest DJs.
RED Party
- Typically Saturday – Date and venue to be confirmed – Get into the school spirit at RED at House of Blues at Disney Springs. Gear up and get ready to show your true colors with guest DJs.
- With heart thumping sound and euphoric visuals, grab your friends and join us at the game! DRESS CODE: Show your RED.

Most of the gay bars are in Downtown so we have chosen Hotels close to all the gay bars in this area that have high reviews on booking.com our hotel partner . But please note that none of the gay bars are in walking distance of each other so you will need a car or a taxi.
