Nit de Foc – Sitges Night of Fire 2027
The annual Sitges Night of fire (Nit de Foc in Catalan) is a spectacular fire parade held during the weekend before the Santa Tecla festival celebrations.

Sitges Night of Fire marks the start of the Santa Tecla Festival celebrations, the town’s second biggest celebration after Fiesta Mayor in August. The event fills the historic centre with drums, devils, fire-breathing beasts and showers of sparks.

A Night of Fire: Experience the Nit de Foc in Sitges
- Next Edition: Saturday 18th September, 2027 – The Night of Fire is one of the most spectacular events held in Sitges and forms part of the build-up to the town’s Santa Tecla celebrations.
- Local colles de foc join visiting groups for a fast-moving evening of Catalan fire traditions through the old town.
- The event opens with a mass drum procession opening the evening at La Fragata.
- Followed by fire displays across the old town, with devils and beasts carrying spinning pyrotechnics.
- The main correfoc moves through Port Alegre and Carrer Fonollar before a joint finale at Plaça de l’Ajuntament.
- Nit de Foc attracts large crowds and features loud explosions, smoke and sparks at very close range.
- Stay in the heart of Sitges at the newly refurbished Hotel Alenti, a boutique hotel right on Plz Industria with views of the gay square and complete with a rooftop pool!

- La Fragata is the easiest place to watch the opening drums, with open space and clear sightlines.
- The lanes around Baluard, Racó de la Calma and Carrer Fonollar place spectators much closer to the fire groups.
- Plaça de l’Ajuntament hosts the finale and will be one of the busiest points of the night.
Safety advice
- Wear cotton clothing with long sleeves, long trousers and closed shoes. Avoid synthetic fabrics.
- Protect your eyes and cover your hair. A hat or cotton scarf is useful near the sparks.
- Keep children and anyone sensitive to loud noise farther back from the route.
- Do not touch the performers, devils, beasts or pyrotechnic equipment.
- Follow police, steward and organiser instructions. Streets on the route will become crowded and access may be restricted.
