Lollipop has shaken up the Maltese gay scene over the past few years, serving a whole new clubbing experience, playing the campest bubblegum pop with a mix of disco and house.

The Party

• The Lollipop party hosts different events each month with a unique theme, vibe and style. Each party is unique.

• The party runs from 10 pm to 4 am.

The Venue

• Truth Club Malta is tucked in the lively Paceville district of St. Julian’s. It opens its doors early as a stylish restaurant, serving Asian‑fusion dishes and signature cocktails under the guiding motto: “First we eat, then we dance”
• Once evening arrives, the place shifts gears. Neon-lit interiors, contemporary furniture and a relaxed outdoor patio set the stage for a nocturnal transformation—bar transforms into a club, restaurant into dancefloor. It strikes a cozy scale (capacity around 200‑500), so the vibe stays intimate yet electric.
• The crowd mixes students, tourists, VIPs and locals, all well dressed and energetic. Overall dress code skews smart-casual . Seating areas flow around the dancefloor and bar for those who want a break from dancing—to enjoy hookah, cocktails, good conversation and delicious food.

Getting there.

• Take bus 222 directly from Valletta (Xerri/City Gate stop) to Ross in San Ġiljan. Runs every ~20 minutes, journey is about 9 minutes, costs around €3
• Late-night option: Route 62 runs Val > Paceville at about 11:20 PM, 11:50 PM, midnight and 12:50 AM
• Bolt, eCabs, or Cool cabs are available via app. Reddit users suggest fares are reasonable—“usually 10 bucks tops” for most island trips

Summer Events 2025

• Uno Malta  – Located in Crafts Village, Ta’Qali, Attard, an 18 minute drive from Valletta or 20 minute drive from St. Julian’s.
• Uno Village is the largest open air club in Malta and Gozo. Situated over extensive grounds right in the middle of Ta Qali’s crafts village.
• The club has a capacity of over 4,000 people. There is nothing quite like it on the islands.

Gay St. Julians

• The town of St. Julians is located alongside the Northern coastline of Malta, next to Sliema and a few miles to the West of the capital city Valletta.
• Paceville (pronounced patch-a-ville) is St Julians’ party zone, home to some of the most well-known clubs on the Island.
• If you want to be in the heart of gay Malta, we suggest staying in Valletta; if you are looking for something more “beachy”, then visit St. Julians, just a short journey from the capital.
• Many visitors combine a stay in both Valletta and St. Julian’s.
