MAL Weekend in Washington, D.C., attracts thousands of leather men, kinksters, fetish-lovers and curious spectators from all over the world.

- Next Edition – Thursday, January 14, 2027 To: Sunday, January 17, 2027, with the main-event listing running until 03:00 on Monday 18th January.
- KINETIC’s KINK weekend brings the clubbing side of Mid-Atlantic Leather Weekend to venues across Washington DC.
- Produced by LGBTQ+ nightlife organisers, the programme combines four main events with a separate after-hours series for those planning to stay out until morning.
- KINETIC partners again with Masc Diva for 2027, promising expanded play zones and a darker setting.
- Individual party names, DJs, performers and nightly timings are awaiting announcement.
- Most events run from 10 pm to 3 am and are spread out across the greater DC area.
- Highlights include a kick off event, UNCUT XXL, and a closing party.
- Past signature events have included MACHO, Pervert and Horse Meat Disco.
- Venues vary, but most are close to the host hotel.
New for 2027 – Ultra VIP
- The Ultra VIP All-Access Pass includes all four main events and three official after-hours parties.
- Each after-hours party begins as its main event finishes and continues past sunrise.
- The addition for 2027 is a Sunday after-hours party following the closing event, extending the weekend into Monday morning.
- Check the inclusions for your chosen pass before purchasing. After-hours access is confirmed as part of Ultra VIP.
Before the Parties
Washington’s gay nightlife spreads across several neighbourhoods. Choose one area for drinks before heading to your main event.
- With rainbow-colored crosswalks, it’s obvious that this Dupont Circle neighborhood street is the place to be. A few blocks east of the neighborhood’s namesake circle, 17th Street NW is home to JR’s.
- District Eagle – U Street’s leather and kink bar, with a speakeasy-style format and a cruising focus. A fitting stop for meeting other MAL visitors in gear.
- Number Nine – 1435 P Street NW, Logan Circle. Two-storey lounge and video bar with an extensive cocktail menu, indoor seating and a street-front patio. Start downstairs for drinks before exploring the upper level.
- BUNKER – 2001 14th Street NW, with its entrance on U Street. A subterranean LGBTQ+ nightclub with theatrical décor, lighting and lasers. Check its weekend listings for a separate club night.

Choose Dupont Circle for established gay bars and easy restaurant options, Logan Circle for 14th Street nightlife, or Capitol Hill for the official MAL host hotel.
