Celebrate Houston Pride at one of the city’s most iconic venues as the Eagle hosts a 3 day block party not to be missed.
- The galleria district in uptown, is just a short 5 min drive away from Montrose. The Aloft Houston is a charming 3 star with a great option outdoor pool.
The Block Party
- Head to the heart of Montrose, Houston’s leading gay district and make straight for The Eagle Houston’s epic 3 day block party at the end of June.
- Expect endless entertainment from your local favorite and international guest DJS featuring tracks from chart topping Dirty Disco.
- The Houston Montrose Pride Block Party has numerous bars located on 2 levels of fun. Delicious food from Eagle Eats with extra options created just for this event will be available throughout the weekend.

The Montrose Gay District
- The LGBTQ community is accepted widespread across the city, but the epicenter of the LGBTQ community is definitely along Montrose. Popular bars like JR’s, Ripcord, Eagle Houston, and Blur are all located on Montrose.
- As far as food, Baby Barenaby’s Café, Niko Niko’s, and Chapultepec Lupita are all worth a visit.
- Don’t miss the Houston Rainbow Crosswalk and Hamburger Mary’s House for some great drag shows.
- Hotel options in Montrose district are limited, but if you are looking for luxury, the La Colombe d’Or Hotel offers everything you need for a perfect stay close to all the gay bars and clubs.
The Eagle

The gay scene

Getting around
A car is a must for getting around Houston’s sprawl. But if driving, observe the posted speed limits. Police here are vigilant. Metro has a fleet of buses and a rail network of three lines, red, green and purple, with 44 stations for getting around the city.
