The Party
- Next Edition: Saturday, October 31, 2026 – Halloween Edition.
- Hoerenbal – literally the Hookers Ball – returns to Club Church on Kerkstraat from 10pm until 5am, bringing its provocative take on Halloween back to central Amsterdam.
- This is far removed from a conventional gay club night. Expect drag, fetish looks, barely-there outfits, guest DJs, dancers and surprise performances, with Club Church’s cruising spaces forming part of the experience.
- Hoerenbal welcomes all genders and sexualities, attracting a more mixed crowd than many of the venue’s men-only and fetish-specific nights.
- The Halloween brief is “dress to distress”, with fetish, drag and provocative Halloween looks encouraged. Full drag and naked guests receive free admission.
- The party’s long-running strapline captures the mood: “u might get laid but u won’t get paid.”
- Admission is €17 including coat check.
- Club Church’s location close to Leidseplein makes it easy to start with drinks around central Amsterdam before heading to Hoerenbal later in the evening.
The Venue – Club Church
- Club Church is at Kerkstraat 52, 1017 GM Amsterdam, a short walk from Leidseplein.
- Open since 2008, Church is one of Amsterdam’s best-known gay fetish and cruise clubs, combining a bar and dance floor with dedicated cruising and play spaces.
- The venue includes showers, slings, private areas and cruising zones, giving Hoerenbal plenty of room to move between dancing, performances and the more adult side of the night.
- Church runs a busy programme throughout the year, with each party attracting a different crowd and operating its own dress code.
- The central location is one of its biggest advantages. You can have dinner and drinks around the canal belt or Reguliersdwarsstraat and walk to the club later.
Halloween Weekend at Club Church
Halloween can easily become a full weekend rather than a single Saturday night.
- Friday 30th October 2026 – (Z)onderbroek – Club Church’s Friday night party before the main Halloween event.
- Saturday 31st October 2026 – Hoerenbal Halloween – 10pm-5am.
- Sunday 1st November 2026 – CumUnion – Afternoon session from 4pm-8pm.

- Blend XL – Reguliersdwarsstraat 44. Larger sister venue directly across the street, giving you another option without leaving the city’s main gay nightlife strip.
- Montmartre XL – Reguliersdwarsstraat 48. The latest incarnation of the long-running Montmartre name, now part of the Blend family.
- SoHo Amsterdam – Reguliersdwarsstraat. Long-established gay bar with pop, cocktails, DJs and themed nights. A lively choice before moving on to Church.
- Taboo – Reguliersdwarsstraat. One of the street’s busiest gay meeting points, mixing drinks, food, drag and a strong pre-club crowd.
- De Spijker – Kerkstraat. Long-running gay bar with leather roots and a predominantly male crowd. Its location makes it particularly convenient before Hoerenbal.
- Eagle Amsterdam – Warmoesstraat. Established men-only leather and cruise bar for visitors looking for a later and more fetish-focused night.
