Folsom Europe is the largest fetish event to take place in Berlin, and returns to September in 2027. An offshoot of the famous “San Francisco Folsom Street Fair”.

Folsom Europe is a five day festival culminating in the Folsom Street Fair, events open on Thursday and finish on the Sunday of the weekend.

- Next Edition: Wednesday, September 8, 2027 To Sunday, September 12, 2027. – The Folsom Europe program is wide and varied. Out take? Don’t miss the PiG Party on Saturday. Pre-party drinks at Prinzknecht Bar are a great way to meet people in a relaxed yet fetish environment. And of course the Saturday fair!
- Note many unofficialy events kick off early on Wednesday and most visitors stay at least until Monday for some recovery parties.
The Folsom Europe Street Fair
- Saturday 12th September, 2027 – The main event, also known as the Folsom EUROPE Street Fair, takes place from 12pm on the corner of Welser and Fuggerstrasse, with three different stages
- If you are planning on visiting for the event, you should stay close to the fair in Schöneberg.
- The streets feature DJ stages, bars, food stands, fetish stores, community organisations, bootblacks, barbers and live demonstrations.
- The Animal Farm area is dedicated to puppies, furries and handlers.
- Entry is normally free, with donations collected for charitable and community projects.
- Check out all the different stages and zones at Folsom.
- Note in 2026, the fair held a preview night on Friday – awaiting confirmation if this carries through to the 2027 edition.
Wednesday 8th September, 2027
- International visitors begin gathering in Schöneberg’s leather, bear and fetish bars. Expect informal welcome drinks, local bar events, specialist play sessions and the first guided tours.
- Wednesday has a relaxed atmosphere and is a good opportunity to meet people before the main programme begins.
Thursday 9th September, 2027
- The organised programme traditionally begins with daytime tours, fetish socials and Classic Meets Fetish, a classical concert presented to a leather and fetish audience. The night concludes with ADAM, the official opening party, featuring DJs, dancing, cruising and play areas

Stay in Schöneberg if you want to walk between the street fair, local bars and your hotel. It was the first borough to officially fly the rainbow flag at the town hall for the CSD gay pride parade, and has done so ever since. Right back to the 1920s, the district has been a hotspot of the gay scene and is a magnet and catwalk for queer Berliners and tourists.
Fuggerstraße and Welserstraße are the centre of the fair; the larger club parties take place across Berlin. These four options give you a choice between being close to the action and having a little distance from the noise.
- Mercure Hotel Berlin Zentrum – The closest pick, at Fuggerstraße 8. Its 78 air-conditioned rooms and conventional hotel feel suit guests who want to step out to the fair, then return to rest or change. Ask for a room away from the street if noise is a concern. - Hotel RIU Plaza Berlin – A larger, modern hotel on Martin-Luther-Straße, roughly 10 minutes’ walk from the fair. The guide identifies it as a popular choice with Folsom guests. It offers a mainstream, welcoming base with room to retreat from the street crowds; Wittenbergplatz is handy for U-Bahn journeys. Request a room away from the main road if you sleep lightly.
- Mercure Hotel Berlin Wittenbergplatz – This design-led, 183-room hotel is around 10 to 15 minutes’ walk from the fair. It is a comfortable choice for LGBTQ+ travellers who prefer a less event-centred hotel. Air conditioning, luggage storage and the U-Bahn at Wittenbergplatz make long days and cross-city parties easier to manage. Ask about a quiet room when booking.
- Hotel Sachsenhof – An independent hotel on Motzstraße, around 10 minutes’ walk from the fair and close to Schöneberg’s bars. It has a quieter, simpler feel than the hotels near Fuggerstraße, though it does not position itself as a specialist queer hotel. Nollendorfplatz station is close for trips beyond the district. It suits guests who value location over extra facilities.
