Since its inception in 1982, the Dallas Black Tie Dinner has been the largest fundraising dinner for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) community in the nation.

The Black Tie Weekend
- Spend the entire weekend in Dallas and enjoy some great pre and post event “After” parties. Cruise the gay scene in the city. Head to Cedar Springs Road, the heart of the Dallas LGBTQ community and discover a variety of restaurants, shops and nightlife that are worth visiting.
- Stay close to all the gay bars in the gay district of Oak Lawn in Uptown Dallas.
- Then enjoy one of the most salubrious gay events in the US. The main event, the Back Tie Dinner takes place on typically on the final Saturday of October. Date to be confirmed.
The Black Tie Dinner
- Each year, The Dallas Black Tie Dinner selects up to 20 North Texas beneficiaries to receive dinner proceeds as well as the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, the Dinner’s national beneficiary. To date, Black Tie Dinner has distributed over $25 million.
- The first Black Tie Dinner in 1982 produced a $6,000 donation to the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. Since then, the Dallas-based dinner has grown and prospered thanks to the support of the LGBTQ community and our allies.
- For 40 years, Black Tie Dinner has set the bar for LGBTQ fundraising in North Texas and plans to do the same for the next 40 to come. Each year, Black Tie Dinner presents multiple awards that recognize individuals, organizations, or corporations that have made a significant contribution to the continued fight for LGBTQ equality.
