Alki Beach Pride Seattle 2022
The annual Alki Beach Pride showcases the diversity of West Seattle with a weekend of fun events right on the beach.
Alki Beach Pride offers plenty of sandy waterfronts to pitch a canopy or beach umbrella. There are fire pits, contests and prizes, a car parade and skate/bike/board “Roll OUT,” and partnerships with over 23 bars and restaurants all along Alki Avenue and into White Center.
This year’s Alki Beach Pride will center around a car parade led by women’s motorcycle collective Rainier Ravens on Saturday, and a skate/bike/board Roll OUT led by Roll Around Seatown on Sunday. The first annual Volley Fest, a beach volleyball tournament produced by Seattle Volleyball Club in conjunction with Alki Beach Pride will also take place.
The shows on the main stage will return in 2022, although restaurants and bars along Alki Avenue will have their own entertainment for the occasion. A number of restaurants and bars on Alki Avenue are LGBTQ-owned. Those establishments include:
- Saturday, August 14th – Roll OUT to Alki Beach Pride will be: (car parade and motorcycles) starting at 12 noon.
- Sunday, August 15th – (bikes,skates) starting at 1 pm
Alki Beach, Seattle
The Event takes place at 2701 Alki Beach Park, from 10am- 9:30pm. The beach is about 30 minutes from downtown Seattle. Alki Beach is the site of the landing of the first white settlers in Seattle on a cold, stormy day in November of 1851. The view of downtown Seattle is spectacular and the beach is a nice and sandy. There are lots of great restaurants in the area.
- Harry’s Beach House – A surf and Turf chic restaurant with a great cocktail bar.
- Marination Ma Kai. – Food truck’s brick-&-mortar space for Hawaiian-Korean fusion fare, breakfast, bar & dockside patio.
Just south of Alki is:
- The Admiral Pub – TV-filled sports bar with pool tables & video games featuring classic grub, cocktails & happy hour.
- Arthur’s – Cheerful, neighborhood fixture offering classic cafe dishes with an Australian bent & cocktails.
- Youngstown Coffee – Radical coffee and hand crafted drinks. Try their in-house breakfast sandwiches.
- The Lumber Yard Bar in White Center – Fancy cocktails, premium wines & craft beers served in an inclusive gay neighborhood hangout.
Getting to the Park
- Catch the Water Taxi/West Seattle Route from Pier 52 to Seacrest Park and From Seacrest Park to Alki Beach.
