Tomato Art Fest Nashville 2022
Located in Historic East Nashville’s Five Points, which has been coined by Budget Travel Magazine as “Nashville’s version of New York’s East Village,” Tomato Art Fest Nashville is a costume-friendly event providing two days of fun for everyone.
Tomato Art Fest is free to attend and wide open to the public, uniting the community and its visiting guests for a weekend of inspired art, wacky contests, great live music, unique vendors, favorite local food trucks and a fun parade.
The Tomato Art Fest maintains a commitment to ensure the fest is green in every possible aspect and maintains Nashville and community traditions. The motto for the event is “A Uniter, Not A Divider – Bringing Together Fruits & Vegetables”.
Five Points is a trendy Nashville Neighborhood. It gets its name from the five-pointed intersection of 11th Street, Clearview Avenue, and Woodland Street, and everything expands from this community center. The area is thriving with eco-friendly retailers, creative hubs, and a truly mind-boggling number of restaurants and bars. Eclectic and ever-growing, Five Points is more than this city’s hipster headquarters, it’s the heart of the East Nashville community.
Tomato Art Show
- The annual art show first took place at the former Art and Invention Gallery in 2003. The art show proved to be so popular it quickly became an entire festival. Each year the art show highlights some of Nashville’s favorite artists alongside community contributors that are both new to the scene and seasoned creators.
- The show features different mediums of art including paintings, sculptures, textiles, and more. All art work must be listed for sale at the show. All art must include a tomato, or other fruits or vegetables.
- Every year you can expect to see some of East Nashville’s finest musicians take the stage at Tomato Art Fest. With 3 stages around the festival and pop up performances throughout the day, everywhere you go, you are sure to hear great music. Music is played from open to close so be sure to check out the lineups and schedule time to see your favorite bands.
Other event highlights include the fun Tomato Parade and the Bloody Mary Garden party!
Gay Friendly venues to visit
