Celebrate Thanksgiving in style at Provincetown, it certainly will be a very gay festive affair with holiday lights, delicious dishes, great live performances, dance parties and a 5k trot to keep you in shape inbetween all that Turkey!
Thanksgiving in Provincetown is a magical affair and has grown over the past few years to become a full weekend of events, attracting many visitors to what was once the very low season.
Events are clustered around The Crown and Anchor and The Canteen with daily shows and a Holiday Market taking pride of place. One event not to be missed is the lighting of the now famous Lobster Pot Christmas Tree on the Saturday evening of the Thanksgiving Weekend. This tree becomes the heart of later celebrations including Holly Folly and First Light.
Although it is off season, weekends in PTown fill up, especially for special events, so book your hotel in advance as you would in the Summer season. Check out the Foxberry Inn, a charming hotel with great rooms, excellent breakfast options and charming hosts.
