Ptown is bear-y spooky for Halloween, with an eclectic schedule of sexy parties, street entertainment and events fit for every kind of zombie, angel, demon, daddy — and bear.

The Event
- The gay resort at the tip of Cape Cod celebrates its annual Spooky Bear Weekend and balmy temperatures (for October) during the last weekend in October.
- From lumberjacks to Dalmatians, Cub scouts to Care Bears, unicorns to Wonder Women, to a Krispy Kreme man with his own special frosting, the harnesses, singlets, and sexy men are out in force all weekend long.
- Halloween Weekend in Provincetown includes spooky parties, haunted dances, events for families, a haunted house and even a costume ball.

Provincetown Spooky Bear Schedule
- While many of the town’s businesses host special Halloween parties and events, here are the official theme nights and gatherings not to be missed: Note in 2024 the event starts on the Thursday (Halloween Night) and runs right through to the first weekend in November, so the typical schedule will change:

Friday
- Events kick off on Friday with the Spooky Bear Tea Dance at the Boatslip from 4pm to 7pm at the Boatslip for an Autumn Tea Dance with a difference.
- Spooky bears meet at the Crown & Anchor 6pm to 8pm followed by a theme party. With two dance rooms and a $500 cash prize for the best costume, this party is going to be legendary!
- Book your stay at the Carpe Diem Guest House, rated “Superb” by our readers and located right by Commercial St, close to all the pride activities.
Saturday
- Bear Mart, Boatslip Resort, 10am to 3pm – Visit the Bear Mart at Spooky Bear. Vendors will be selling their goodies and you can even purchase a Spooky Bear T-shirt! Each vendor will be making a donation to the Provincetown Soup Kitchen. It should prove to be a beary good time!
- Spooky Bear Bingo, Crown & Anchor 2pm – The Northeast Ursamen Presents Spooky Bear Bingo! Come join in for some spooky trivia and compete for some fun prizes! $10 to play per person! Team play is encouraged but not required.
- Sunset Dune Tour, 1pm to 3pm – Join the bears for an exciting tour of the Provincetown sand dunes while the sun sets! Art’s Dune Tours will show you the famous Dunes of Ptown.
- World Famous Tea Dance at the Boatslip – 4 pm – “Spooky Tea Dance”
- Costume Ball, Crown & Anchor 9pm-1am – Dress to impress in your spookiest costume for the annual Spooky Bear Halloween ball. The event takes place at the Paramount Club which is transformed into one of the spookiest, bear-friendly venues in PTown, with DJ Chris Racine.
Sunday
- Spooky Bear Drag Brunch, 11 am and 1 am sitting – The Crown and Anchor.
- Solid Gold Tea Dance from 11am to 1pm – The Boatslip.
