Russian River Pride brings a welcoming parade, live entertainment, local vendors, parties and relaxed riverside gatherings to Guerneville, one of Northern California’s best-known LGBTQ+ weekend destinations.

The Event

• Next Edition: Awaiting dates – Typically mid September – Guerneville Pride : where the redwoods meet the rainbow!
• Pride is centred on downtown Guerneville, surrounded by redwood forests and the Russian River.
• The main celebration combines a free parade and festival with drag, DJs, live performers, local vendors and community groups.

The Parade

• Awaiting dates – Typically the final Saturday of the event – A colourful parade will make its way down Guerneville’s Main Street from midday.
• The parade is the centrepiece of Russian River Pride. It travels through downtown Guerneville along Main Street, also known as River Road or Highway 116.
• Visitors line the route for community groups, performers, local businesses and colourful contingents.

Guerneville Pride Festival

• The festival follows the parade in central Guerneville.
• Recent editions have used several nearby spaces, placing the main stage and beverage garden in the Lark Drugs parking lot, a vendor market on First Street, family activities and community stands around Guerneville Plaza.
• Expect live music, drag, DJ sets, food, drinks and the Pride raffle.

Getting to Guerneville

• Guerneville is around 75 miles north of San Francisco. Driving time is usually about 90 minutes, with longer journeys possible on Friday afternoons and major event weekends.
• San Francisco International Airport and Oakland International Airport offer the widest range of flights. Sonoma County Airport is closer but has fewer routes.
• A car is useful for wineries, redwood parks and neighbouring towns. Once in central Guerneville, the main Pride areas can usually be reached on foot.
• Expect traffic controls and parking pressure near Main Street on parade day. Arrive early and follow organiser notices for road closures.
