Ogunquit’s popular gay bar, MainStreet hosts different events throughout the year with several themes as well as the not-to-be-missed Ogunquit Tea Dance in Spring and Summer.

The Ogunquit Tea Dance hosts different events throughout the year with several themes. The events are typically held during seasonal holidays.

• Ogunquit fills up on holiday weekends, so book your hotel early. Stay at the Abalonia Inn, rated “Superb” by guests, complete with outdoor pool and hot tub set in a historic building just a short drive from the bars.

• Each Ogunquit tea dance is unique, with a different theme, DJ and party atmosphere.
• With big feel good dance tracks, hands in the air classics, and a room full of fellas ready to have some fun.
• From 5 pm to 7.30 pm.

Halloween 2026

• October 2026 – Mainestreet goes all-in for Halloween with fierce costumes, big DJ energy, and two rooms flipping between camp, chaos, and thumping beats. Karaoke mayhem, a stacked dance floor, and a costume battle with serious prize money set the tone for a wild weekend.

Christmas by the Sea Edition

• Next Edition: Mid December, 2026 – Annual Holiday Party and Bear T Dance – Part of the Christmas by the Sea weekend celebrations.

New Years Eve Gay Ogunquit Event

• Thursday 31st December, 2026 – New Year’s Eve 2027 at Mainestreet Mainestreet closes its 26th year with a full NYE blowout. Two floors, countdown moments, and a packed room at midnight.

Labor Day Weekend Edition 2027

• Wednesday 1st September 2027 – Monday 6th September, 2027
• Mainstreet kicks off Labor Day celebrations with a full week of entertainment, from the Sunday tea dance and live musical performances to drag shows, karaoke and a Studio 54-inspired party. Expect DJs, cocktails, singalongs and late-night shows in the heart of Wilton Manors.
• Of course, Tea Dance on Saturday and The Annual Mr. Gay Ogunquit Speedo Contest at the beach and capping off at Tea Dance on Sunday.
