- Subway – You can take the L train from 14th Street in Manhattan directly to East Williamsburg. Depending on where you are in Midtown, you might need to take a connecting train (such as the A, C, E, 1, 2, 3, N, Q, R, or S trains) to get to the L train. Journey time 30 to 40 minutes.
