Hamburg Gay Pride is one of the biggest events in the city’s gay calendar.
Hamburg Gay Pride, known locally as Christopher Street Day Hamburg, brings a full week of queer culture, political events, parties and live entertainment to Germany’s second-largest city.

Hamburg Pride
- Next Edition: Thursday 5th August, 2027 – Sunday 8th August, 2027.
- The main weekend features a huge Saturday parade through central Hamburg, a three-day Pride Street Festival beside the Binnenalster and the Pink Pauli Festival across the clubs and venues of St Pauli.
- The programme traditionally begins with Pride Night, followed by Pride House events during the week and the main parade and street festival over the closing weekend.
Hamburg Pride Parade
- Next Edition: Saturday 7th August, 2027.
- The Hamburg Pride Parade is the biggest event of Pride Week, drawing huge crowds to the streets between St Georg and the city centre.
- The parade normally takes place on the final Saturday of Pride Week.
- The demonstration traditionally begins around noon.
- Expect large walking groups, community organisations, music trucks and political campaigns.
- The route is reviewed each year and can change for security or crowd-management reasons.
- In 2026, the parade began at Lübecker Straße near Mühlendamm and travelled along Steindamm, Kreuzweg, Steinstraße and Mönckebergstraße before finishing near Lombardsbrücke.
- Arrive at least one hour before the parade reaches your chosen location. Central viewing areas become packed during the afternoon.
Hamburg Street Festival
- The Pride Street Festival takes place beside the Binnenalster across: Jungfernstieg, Ballindamm and Rathausmarkt.
- The three-day festival features community stands, live music, talks, DJs, drag performances, food stalls and several entertainment areas.

- Saturday 7th August, 2027 – The Pink Pauli Street Festival is a cooperative initiative between all of the gay bars to create a unique festival in the heart of gay Hamburg.
- The event features stages, shows and a carnival style atmosphere over the entire weekend.
- One ticket gains you access to multiple venues and parties, each with a different vibe, music, DJ and theme.
- The mix ranges from pop, charts and disco to house, techno and men-only dance and play areas.

- The pride house hosts a series of events, concerts, discussions and exhibitions throughout Hamburg Pride. The Pride House can be found again in the IFZ / Schorsch at Rostocker Straße 7 in St. Georg.
