The Pines Party is one of the highlights of the American Gay Circuit Calendar and takes place in August at the legendary Fire Island Pines.

The Party

• Next Edition: Friday 31st July 2026 – Sunday 2nd August, 2026.
• At this essential three-day free-for-all, let loose anytime—literally:
• There’s a rager that goes till 6am, then another one that picks up a half hour later.
• Dance until dawn, all while enjoying the sensation of sand between your toes.
• The party is a charitable event that’s the pinnacle of every season, raising money for the community and the Stonewall Community Foundation that helps LGBT organizations grow.
• Stay in a Classic Fire Island home, 400ft, with direct beach access.

The Theme and Lineup

• Awaiting theme for the 2026 edition.
• Over the years the party has grown and changed and become the Pines Party.
• Each year the theme changes, but the spirit and energy remain the same.
• Events run from Friday to Sunday, with the main beach party held on Saturday Night.
• Since the Tryst’s takeover of the Pavilion, expect even more satellite events such as MEAT NYC returning for a series of Summer residencies.

Saturday

• The Main Event – The Beach – 10pm to 6am
• The Beach Party is the crown jewel of the Pines weekend—set directly on the sand with huge sound and a custom-built lighting rig.
• Thousands dance barefoot under the stars, with crashing waves just steps away.

Sunday

• The After Party – Pavilion – 6am to noon
• Pavilion is the Pines’ central club hub: modern, glass-fronted, and perched on the harbor with two dance floors. Morning sets here hit with just the right energy, especially with the first light spilling in.

• Highlights of the event include the Beach Party which sells out and takes place at The Beach 577 Coast Guard Walk.
• The Pool party at The Pines Club, one of Fire Island Pines’ most glamorous bayfront homes is a must.
• The After-party is legendary, and your last chance for some fun!
• Pre‑party in Cherry Grove? Water‑taxi runs frequently; makes a fun break point
• Try early ferry to avoid crowds and give yourself breezy transit.
• For entry lines, especially at Ice Palace, find the less-known back entrance—beat the wait.
• Finally make a date with the Morning Party at the Pavilion.
• Use landmarks and arrange meet‑ups—crowds get dense during beach sets.
• Watch the first light of the sun rise over the Atlantic and head to the Pavilion and keep dancing ’til noon.  Not for faint of heart, the Morning Party is a Pines tradition not to be missed.
