Immerse yourself in one of Sitges’s most unique Autumn festivals, a celebration of wine and culture. Experience a wine exhibition, a thrilling grape stomping contest, and the popular weighing of the Pubilla and Hereu, all set against the charming backdrop of Sitges.

The Festival
- Next Edition: Friday 2nd October 2026 – Sunday 4th October, 2026.
- The Festa de la Verema dates back to 1961, created to celebrate the region’s long-standing tradition of winemaking and the grape harvest season.
- Sitges has a deep-rooted connection to wine, primarily through its proximity to the Penedès wine region, famous for its Cava production.
- Weekend celebrations blend Catalonia’s winemaking heritage with lively cultural traditions, making it a key event in the local calendar and a must-visit for wine enthusiasts and culture seekers.
- Highlights include the barrel race and the trashing of the grapes.

Food and Wine Fair (Mostra de Vins)
- Friday to Sunday – Open-air wine fair featuring local wineries and food stalls offering tastings of the region’s wines and culinary specialities.

Grape Pressing
- Sunday – 10:15 am – Pressing of the first must at Plaça del Baluard, 10:15 followed by offering in the church of Sant Bartomeu & Santa Tecla
47th Grape Stomping Contest (Concurs de Trepitjadors de Raïm)
- Sunday—From 12.30 pm. This is a traditional grape-stomping competition in which teams compete to extract the most juice from the grapes in a set time.
- Participants stomp the grapes in large barrels, often drawing large crowds and lots of laughter. The team that produces the most juice wins.
- Followed by Weighing of the Pubilla and Hereu in wine equivalent, after the grape stomping.

- La Fragata Beach (below the Church of Sant Bartomeu and Santa Tecla): Hosts the grape stomping competitions.
- Passeig de la Ribera: Hosts the food and wine fair.
