The Event
- Next Edition: Awaiting dates, typically the Saturday before Fat Tuesday.
- Mystic Krewe of Dads together with epic party promoter, Hit It, presents Dad’s Ball.
- Dad’s Ball is a fun and crazy celebration held in New Orleans during Mardi Gras.
- Featuring a unique blend of music, art, and interactive performances, aimed at creating a queer twist on traditional Mardi Gras balls.
- Launched in 2020, the event has doubled in size, attracting around 1,500 attendees.
- Unlike traditional balls, which feature lengthy costume presentations, Dad’s Ball is primarily a dance party with a thematic performance in the middle.
- All attendees are encouraged to wear costumes with a wide range of styles, from casual to intricate, promoting inclusivity and fun.
- Dad’s Ball includes multiple DJs, art installations, live performances, and interactive elements like tarot reading.
- The massive party also features multiple dark rooms and designated chill-out areas.
- Events run from 9 pm to 3 am and take over House of Blues Restaurant & Bar.
- Stay at the Quarter House Suites, rated “Fabulous” by guests, just a short walk from the party. Suites are fully equipped with access to an outdoor pool and fitness centre.

- Spread out over two levels, it has a concert hall with an upper level offering stage views and space for over 1,000 guests.
- Located on Decatur Street, it sits in the heart of the French Quarter, making it easily accessible and close to many attractions
