Bear New Zealand Week Events kick off with a meeting at Bear New Zealand tent at the Big Gay Out. It kicks off with Bears and beers, a relaxed evening at Galbraiths Alehouse. Galbraiths have a great selection of beers, as well as an impressive pub food menu. The perfect way to ease into Bear New Zealand Week. Then its time for the Bear Drag Race followed by the Urge Bear Divas. Next event it’s the Underbear party. The undies events are perhaps the most famous of nights at URGE as they host a special midweek jocks party.
Thursday’s highlight is the not to be missed, Wet Fur at Centurian Sauna in Beresford Square for an evening of cruising and sweaty fun, with special pricing and entertainment. On Friday its the election of Mr URGE New Zealand Bear. The contest is open to all current New Zealand residents and the winner will compete at Mr Australasia Bear during Southern HiBearnation.
On Saturday its the Tri-Nations annual party, an event that has established itself as one of the biggest gay dance events of the year in New Zealand and on Sunday its time to say goodbye at the closing BBQ, a great way to relax and enjoy some kiwi hospitality after a long week of fun.
