La Demence, Europe’s biggest gay party hosts its epic birthday celebrations each year during the last weekend of October.
La Demence, Europe’s biggest gay party hosts its epic birthday celebrations each year during the last weekend of October, perfectly timed to coincide with everyone’s favorite dress-up season, Halloween.
- Stay in the heart of the Saint Jacques district, the epicenter of gay life in the city. The Warwick Brussels is close to all the city’s attractions and offers large rooms and good rates.
The Party
- Next Edition: Friday, October 30, 2026 – Sunday, November 1, 2026 – 37th Anniversary.
- La Demence turns 37 with three nights in Brussels: an opening party at Fuse, a Halloween main party at ING Arena and a final night back at Fuse.
- The change of venue is part of the appeal. Fuse gives you a close, crowded club night across three levels; Saturday brings the larger shows, two music rooms and thousands of men together beneath the Atomium.
- Saturday’s main event at ING Arena show features 75 dancers and acrobats.
- Enjoy a 800 m² playroom, changing area, lockers and food area at ING Arena.
- From the saunas of the city to the thumping beats of the dance floor, Brussels is party central.
- More than 10,000 people attended the 2025 event, making it one of the largest gay indoor events in the world!
- Check out our insider guide to gay Brussels.
Where to stay
- Most of Brussels’ gay bars, clubs, saunas and shops are located in the city centre, specifically around the Saint Jacuqes district. Its scene is true to the city’s image: discreet, varied, warm and friendly.
- Saint-Jacques or the Grand Place area is the most useful base for this weekend.
- You can meet friends around Rue du Marché au Charbon, return to your room between parties and travel out to each venue when ready.
- Hotel Amigo puts you beside Grand Place. For a different central stay, check Radisson Collection Grand Place Brussels
The weekend at a glance
- The opening and closing parties are full events in their own right. If you can make the three nights, you’ll experience La Demence at two very different scales.
- If you have time for just one, Saturday is the anniversary centrepiece: doors open at 9 pm, the first show is at 11 pm and the main show is scheduled for 2 am. The published DJ programme runs until 9 am in the main room.
Friday: Opening Party at Fuse
- Friday puts you straight into the club experience that built La Demence’s reputation.
- Fuse is at Rue Blaesstraat 208, away from the bars around Rue du Marché au Charbon.
- Arrange to meet friends in the centre first, then travel to the club together.
- Once inside, move between the levels before settling on a room: the lineups run at different times, and Level 2 carries the party through to noon.

- For pre-party drinks, make Rue du Marché au Charbon in Saint-Jacques your meeting point.
- Its concentration of gay bars gives you an easy place to gather before the journey to Fuse or ING Arena.
- Sauna Macho is an option for visitors seeking an after-party setting back in the gay district. Its venue is on Rue du Marché au Charbon.
Tickets, lockers and practical tips
- Choose your nights before buying. Saturday single tickets are listed at €65, or €55 for guests under 26. Friday plus Saturday or Saturday plus Sunday costs €95; the three-party ticket costs €120. The organiser says Friday and Sunday have no single tickets owing to Fuse’s limited capacity. Check the official ticket page for availability.
- Reserve a Saturday locker if you need one. ING Arena offers medium lockers for €7 and large lockers for €10 through its locker booking link. At Fuse, lockers take a €2 coin; cloakroom charges are €2 per jacket or €4 per bag, with no reservation required.
- Keep valuables secured. The organiser warns of pickpockets in the playrooms and advises guests to leave wallets and phones out of those spaces. Free condoms and lube are available at the parties.
- Plan the Saturday journey separately. ING Arena is by the Atomium, away from both Fuse and the central gay bars. Check STIB-MIVB for your outward route. The organiser says taxis and Uber are available at the arena throughout the night for the return.
- Give yourself recovery time. The published programme spans three nights, with sets continuing into Monday. Book your departure with that schedule in mind.
Where to Stay for La Demence
Stay in the Saint-Jacques and Grand Place district, close to Brussels’ gay bars on Rue du Marché au Charbon. It’s the most practical base for the three-night anniversary weekend, with Friday and Sunday at Fuse and Saturday’s main party at ING Arena near the Atomium.
Our four hotel recommendations combine central locations, comfortable rooms for recovering between parties and Booking.com guest ratings of at least 8.5.
- Hotel La Grande Cloche – A characterful, affordable hotel overlooking Place Rouppe, with recently refreshed interiors and a lively ground-floor bar. Convenient for the Saint-Jacques gay district and the journey to Fuse, with Brussels-Midi station also within walking distance.
- Hotel des Galeries – A stylish four-star boutique hotel inside the Royal Galleries, with soundproofed rooms, hardwood floors and excellent beds. Just a few minutes from Grand Place and Brussels Central Station, with the gay bars an easy walk away.
- Pillows City Hotel Brussels Centre – A polished four-star hotel near Brussels Central Station, with spacious, quiet rooms, extra-long beds and an excellent breakfast. Particularly appealing for guests arriving by train who want a comfortable retreat between the late-night parties.
- The Dominican Brussels – A sophisticated four-star design hotel near La Monnaie, with a courtyard, sauna, fitness centre and atmospheric cocktail lounge. Its spacious rooms and central location make it a strong premium alternative, particularly for guests staying through Monday.
For this edition, book from Friday 30th October to Monday 2nd November 2026 if attending all three parties. Sunday’s closing event continues into Monday morning, making an early departure impractical.
