The Event
- Next Edition: Saturday, October 31, 2026 – Saturday, October 31, 2026
- Spookmince is BEEFMINCE’s Halloween special, bringing its inclusive party format to UNLOCKED Shoreditch.
- Featuring DJ lineup features Jon Byrne, Moto Blanco, Ross Jones and Silverhook.
- Mingle with BEEFMINCE gogos, performers, Halloween production and a themed lounge alongside the main floor.
- Costumes are encouraged, from elaborate horror looks to something smaller and easier to wear through a long night.
- Stay at Hart Shoreditch Hotel, a stylish base on Great Eastern Street, close to the party at UNLOCKED and Shoreditch’s bars and restaurants.
The Venue
- UNLOCKED Shoreditch – 118 Curtain Road, London EC2A 3PJ.
- An industrial venue with three interconnected levels and spaces that can operate separately. Spookmince’s advertised format centres on an underground floor and Halloween lounge.
- The basement is a large, open-plan room with an industrial finish and infrastructure for substantial lighting, sound and stage production.
- Curtain Road places you among Shoreditch’s bars and restaurants, with Old Street and Shoreditch High Street stations serving the surrounding area.
- The building’s full capacity covers several spaces; it should not be treated as the attendance figure for this party.
Before the Party
Make Friday a Soho evening, then keep Saturday’s dinner and drinks around Shoreditch or Hackney Road.
- Kings Arms – 23 Poland Street, Soho. A traditional gay pub with a strong bear following, real ales and weekend DJs playing disco, house and electro. A great Friday meeting point for visitors looking for London’s bear crowd.
- The Queen Adelaide – 483 Hackney Road, Cambridge Heath. An East London queer pub from the team behind the former George & Dragon, with a main bar and separate basement space. Start with early drinks before travelling towards Curtain Road.
- The Nelson’s – 32 Horatio Street, off Hackney Road. An independent neighbourhood pub serving beers, cocktails and pub classics, with occasional basement events. Useful for dinner and drinks without committing to another club night.
- The Crown and Shuttle – 226 Shoreditch High Street. A mixed-crowd pub with exposed brickwork and a large rear beer garden. A convenient place to gather your group over food and pints before heading to the party.
Make a Weekend of It
- Friday: Explore Soho’s gay bars, starting at the Kings Arms.
- Saturday: Browse Shoreditch and Spitalfields, have an early dinner and leave time to change into your Halloween outfit.
- Sunday: Visit Columbia Road Flower Market, then book a roast at The Nelson’s for a relaxed finish to the weekend.
Where to Stay
Shoreditch is the most practical base for this edition, keeping the party, restaurants and late-night drinks in the same part of London. Soho suits visitors prioritising central gay bars, with a journey east on party night.
- Hart Shoreditch Hotel London, Curio Collection by Hilton – On Great Eastern Street, a useful choice for staying close to Curtain Road. Interiors reference the district’s craft heritage, with a gym for guests who want to keep their usual routine.
- One Hundred Shoreditch – Best for turning the party into a complete hotel weekend. Its Shoreditch High Street location comes with the Seed Library cocktail bar, a rooftop bar and several places to meet friends before heading out.
- citizenM London Shoreditch – A modern base on Holywell Lane, convenient for Shoreditch High Street and the surrounding restaurants. A practical pick for visitors planning to spend most of the weekend exploring and socialising.
- The Hoxton, Shoreditch – The original Hoxton hotel, refurbished in 2025. A good choice for a longer East London stay, with Shoreditch’s restaurants, shops and nightlife close at hand.
