The Venue
- Sala Apolo sits beside Paral·lel, between Poble-sec and the lower Raval.
- Somoslas is in La (2), the room used for Astin club sessions.
- Head for the Somoslas room rather than assuming the party is in Apolo’s main hall.
- The location makes it easy to combine dinner in Poble-sec or Sant Antoni with a late arrival at the club.
- Paral·lel metro station serves lines L2 and L3. A taxi is a convenient option after drinks in Gaixample, particularly when travelling with friends.
Before the Party
Start in Gaixample, Barcelona’s gay nightlife district, around Muntaner, Consell de Cent and Aribau. Meet for drinks, visit a couple of bars, then head to Apolo.
- La Carrà, Raffaella Carrà tribute bar serving cocktails and shots, with a camp setting for your first round.
- Elvira Café, Queer bar with dark, gothic décor, ideal for adding a little October atmosphere to the evening.
- For dinner closer to the venue, try the streets around Carrer de Blai in Poble-sec or Carrer del Parlament in Sant Antoni.
