The Venue – Metro 3 at The Metropolitan
The Metropolitan is a large nightclub and event complex in New Orleans’ Warehouse District, housed in a converted industrial building on Andrew Higgins Boulevard. Known for its large-scale DJ events, the venue combines industrial architecture with modern club production, including high ceilings, lighting rigs, lasers and powerful sound systems.
Metro 3 is one of the complex’s event spaces, adapted for themed parties and special productions.
- Main Dance Floor: The centre of the action, featuring the DJ booth, sound system and space for dancers and guests.
- Performance Areas: Used for special appearances, dancers and Halloween entertainment.
- Bar Areas: Drinks service throughout the party space.
- VIP Balcony: An elevated viewing area with dedicated VIP access and optional bottle service.
- Themed Production: Haunted Manor scenery, dramatic lighting and atmospheric effects transform the interior for Halloween.
The club is located southwest of the French Quarter, making it convenient for visitors staying in the Warehouse District or Downtown.
Before the Party – Gay New Orleans
Start your evening in the French Quarter, where New Orleans’ gay nightlife centres on Bourbon Street, St. Ann Street and Dauphine Street.
For Furball’s bear and fetish crowd, we recommend beginning with drinks at one of the city’s established gay bars.
- The Phoenix – A legendary gay leather and bear bar in the Marigny, with a relaxed downstairs bar and an upstairs cruising area. Our first choice for guys who enjoy a masculine, fetish-friendly atmosphere.
- Café Lafitte in Exile – One of New Orleans’ historic gay bars, with an upstairs balcony overlooking Bourbon Street and a sociable crowd of locals and visitors.
- Bourbon Pub & Parade – A two-level gay nightlife institution with video screens, dancing, entertainment and balconies overlooking Bourbon Street.
- Good Friends Bar – A friendly neighbourhood gay bar on Dauphine Street, popular for cocktails and conversation, with the Queen’s Head Pub upstairs.
For dinner, head to the Warehouse District, home to contemporary restaurants and cocktail bars, before making your way to The Metropolitan.
