The party
- Snax is a party with no limits, “staged with panache inside Germany’s grandest den of iniquity,” according to party organisers. Enjoy the throbbing sounds of the latest techno, never dull, always new.
- The fetish, sex and dance party draws thousands of visitors eager to access one of Berlin’s most legendary parties in the world-famous Berghain club with attention to detail paid to every corner of this labyrinthine venue.
- Sex happens on every level and to all tastes, catering to all tastes and depravities. There are several dance floors in different rooms, areas where guests can let off steam. People don’t just go to Berghain to dance; it is where they can simply be themselves. There are legends about excessive sex parties and ample drug use — and parts are bound to be true. What happens, happens but never leaves the Berghain premises.
The Lineup
- From 23.00 hrs – Classic Snax Club – Man meat in Action – Play Safe – Dress Dirty and Fetish – Pay at the Door.
- Berghain – Boris, Luigi Di Venere, Massimilano Pagliara
- Lab.oratory – Cormac, Lakuti, Patrok and Roi Perez.
The legendary door check
Visitors are vetted carefully at the door. Snax is famous for its entry policy, and this is to ensure that every single person inside belongs there. Organisers are keen to keep it this way, otherwise, to maintain the party’s reputation.
- Sven Marquardt — tattooed, pierced, and a successful photographer to boot — is the most famous guardian of the club’s entrance.
- If you are rejected, it’s not because of how you look; it’s who you are and your personality. Don’t take it personally or cause a scene; its the one way to ensure you will never get in.
- If you are not ready for Snax, staff will sniff you out of the line and send you home.
- Those who get in know they belong inside; they don’t stand in the line to try to get in; they stand in the line to get in because it’s made for them, they know it, the doorman knows it, that’s why he’s at the door.
The Venue
- Berghain, located in a former power plant, hosts the Snax Party. Entrance is via a separate-entrance club area known as Lab.oratory. The club is named after its location near the border between Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain in Berlin and is a short walk from Berlin Ostbahnhof mainline railway station.
