The New World (TNW) is one of Brazil’s biggest party promoters (formerly The Week) and brings the biggest parties to Rio for an epic Gay New Year celebration.

Friday – Sugar Loaf Mountain Party
- Friday 27th December, 2024 – Morro de Uca, Aquarela do Brazil – Pre Reveillon Party.
- A pre-New Year’s Eve Tradition, the setting and vibe need no explanation; this is a party in one of the most famous places on earth, Sugarloaf Mountain.
- Party by one of the most famous venues in the world for one magical fun night in The Marvelous City in Parque Bondinho.
- In the heart of the Atlantic Forest and above Rio de Janeiro, the Parque Bondinho Pão de Açúcar enchants everyone with its stunning landscape.
- The Parque Bondinho Pão de Açúcar is formed by the Urca and Pão de Açúcar hills that, interconnected by a cable car, offer breathtaking experiences at the height of up to 396 meters above sea level.
- Events kick off at 10 pm. This year’s theme “Aquerela do Brasil” is an homage to the flora and fauna of Brazil.

Saturday – The Main Event
- Saturday 28th December, 2024 – Carioca “Sailors Edition”, the main party of the festival at Marina da Gloria.
- Events kick off from 5 pm, BR Marinas – Marina da Glória – Rio de Janeiro.
- The party takes place in one of the most beautiful and exclusive places, not to mention the location – in the heart of the wonderful city.
- Stunning marina and yacht club, located in the neighbourhood of Glória and host of the Olympic sailing events.
- Take a taxi to the party! Stay close to the gay beaches at the Ipanema Inn, offering cosy comforts, or the upscale Sol Ipanema Hotel with oceanfront views.
Sunday – BIGGER
- Sunday 29th December, 2024 – BIGGER, the sexiest party from Sao Paulo takes flight to Rio for a special pre-NYE edition at The Home, Rio.
- Events kick off at 11 pm with special guest DJs, super-sexy gogos and a stunning stage show. Featuring guest DJs and two different dancefloors.

Wednesday – New Year’s Day
- Wednesday 1st December, 2024 –M.A.R – New Year’s Day Edition Party at The Museu Do Amanha in Rio. A 16 hour mega marathon with a host of world famous DJs.
- One of the most emblematic parties of Rio and one of the best we have ever attended in a unique and stunning location, the perfect way to welcome 2025.
- Events kick off at 4 pm. The Museu Do Amanha is a 30 to 40 minute taxi ride from Ipanema.
Saturday 4th January
- Another new addition to the Carioca Festival 2025. Straight from Madrid, Candy Party is the newest Spanish label and sensation of the moment, which will take over The Home Rio.
Museu do Amanhã
- The Museu do Amanhã (Museum of Tomorrow) is an extraordinary science museum located in the revitalized Porto Maravilha neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
- Designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava, the museum’s futuristic structure resembles a spaceship or a giant white bird in flight, with expansive, cantilevered wings stretching over the waterfront.
- Situated at Praça Mauá, it sits along the Guanabara Bay, near the downtown area of Rio.
- By Metro: The journey by metro and walking/taxi will take around 40-50 minutes depending on the time of day and traffic.
- By Car/Taxi: Driving directly from Ipanema to the Museu do Amanhã typically takes around 25-35 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.
