The Festival
- Typically early December – Awaiting dates for 2024 – Pink Dot is Hong Kong’s annual gay event and takes over West Kowloon Cultural District Art Park.
- The festival, celebrates acceptance, inclusion and awareness.
- Pink Dot attracts thousands of people, Dressed in Pink for an afternoon and evening of parties and events with more than 70 different booths, including arts and crafts and pet adoption.
- The event features performances by local singers and drag queens on the main stage.

West Kowloon Cultural District Art Park
The West Kowloon Cultural District Art Park in Hong Kong is a vibrant cultural area that offers a mix of arts and leisure facilities. As one of the key components of the West Kowloon Cultural District (WKCD), the Art Park features green spaces, a waterfront promenade, and various venues for performances and events, including:
- Freesspace: A modern venue for contemporary performances and events.
- The Lawn: A large open green space used for outdoor events, picnics, and leisure.
- Art Pavilion: A space for art exhibitions and cultural events.
Proximity to Hong Kong’s Gay District
Hong Kong districts most known for its LGBTQ+ friendly bars, clubs, and inclusive atmosphere include districts around Central, on Hong Kong Island, particularly the areas of Lan Kwai Fong and SoHo.
The West Kowloon Cultural District is located on the Kowloon side of Victoria Harbour, opposite the Central area. The distance between the West Kowloon Cultural District Art Park and the Central area is relatively short.
- By MTR: The Mass Transit Railway (MTR) can be taken from Kowloon Station to Central Station, which takes approximately 5 minutes.
- By Car/Taxi: Driving or taking a taxi would take about 10-15 minutes without heavy traffic.

Gay Hong Kong’s nightlife is mainly located in the Soho (South of Hollywood Road, HK Island) and LKF (Lan Kwai Fong, HK Island).
