Joining Hearts Pool Party Atlanta 2022
This year’s event will feature legendary DJ Dan Slater. Due to current restrictions, the party will take place in The Greystone at Piedmont Park. Access will be restricted to those who have been fully vaccinated. Limited tickets will be available to encourage physical distancing.
Named for its original granite walls, Greystone boasts 9,000 square feet of event space and is quite close to the park pool, where the event typically takes place.
The Joining Hearts Pool and its parade of abs and skimpy swimsuits is LGBTQ Atlanta’s social event of the summer, taking place in July each year.
Joining Hearts Pool Party is one of Atlanta’s biggest gay events and takes place in Piedmont Park. The event raises funds for HIV organizations across the state. Last year the group donated $136,100 to five HIV/AIDS service organizations.
The Piedmont Park Pool is located on 1071 Piedmont Ave NE. The party kicks of at 4pm and continues through the night until 10.30pm. Several of Atlanta’s top gay clubs and bars will host special pre and post pool parties during the weekend. Hotels close to Piedmont park are busy year-round, especially for this event as it attracts visitors from well beyond Atlanta, so book early.
The event features a huge stage with guest DJS and dancers plus a spectacular closing fireworks show.
The pool is the perfect venue for a hot outdoor Summer party with more than 9,000 square feet of space with a beach entry and channel for floating, a landscaped deck, showers and locker rooms.

Map of Gay Atlanta
The Atlanta gay population lives, works and plays all over the city and even into the suburbs. Midtown has several of the city’s most popular gay bars like Blake’s, Burkhart’s Pub, Bulldogs and Swinging Richards. The Atlanta LBGT populace is also partially responsible for the resurgence of Grant Park in the 1980s. The historic neighborhood was falling into ruins when members of the community started scooping up properties, renovating and restoring them to their original glory. This fever pitch trickled over into the neighborhoods of East Atlanta, Ormewood Park and the Old Fourth Ward. These are all eclectic, funky and tolerant neighborhoods, like most of Atlanta.
