Event Dates
From: Thursday, June 10, 2027
To: Saturday, June 19, 2027
Guadalajara Gay Pride is held each year on the second week in June. The celebrations and pride parade follows a week of cultural events.
Guadalajara hosts one of the biggest Pride celebrations in Mexico, and the 2027 edition is set to be exceptional as the city welcomes the first Orgullo Panamericano, bringing LGBTQ+ communities from across the Americas together for ten days of Pride events.
- Are you visiting Guadalajara? The Central or eastern area of Zona Centro makes the perfect base to explore the city. It is full of pedestrian-only streets, charming hotels, and feels safe. The DoubleTree by Hilton Guadalajara Centro Historico is rated fabulous and has a wide range of breakfast options, rooms with great views and high-end amenities.

Gay Guadalajara
Guadalajara has one of Mexico’s largest LGBTQ+ nightlife scenes, split mainly between Centro Histórico and the area around Colonia Americana and Avenida Chapultepec.
- Centro Histórico has a large concentration of traditional gay bars, cantinas, drag venues and late-night clubs. The scene is compact and easy to explore on foot.
- Colonia Americana and Avenida Chapultepec offer a broader mix of cocktail bars, clubs, restaurants and terraces, with a younger mixed LGBTQ+ crowd.
- The two areas are a short taxi or rideshare journey apart, making it easy to visit both during a night out.
- Guadalajara is a good addition to a longer Mexican itinerary combining Mexico City and Puerto Vallarta.
Gay Bars & Clubs in Guadalajara
- California’s Bar – Compact gay video bar in Centro Histórico with pop, cumbia, affordable drinks and a fun local crowd. It gets packed later on weekends.
- Babel Club – Large multi-level gay nightclub with electronic music, go-go dancers, drag and different dance areas.
- Xico – Stylish multi-level LGBTQ+ venue with cocktails, reggaeton and a younger weekend crowd.

Where to Stay for Guadalajara Pride
- Stay in Centro Histórico if you want to be close to the traditional gay bars and historic sights. Colonia Americana and Chapultepec work well for visitors who prefer restaurants, terraces and contemporary nightlife.
- Hotel Real Maestranza – Our preferred choice in Guadalajara, with modern rooms in Centro Histórico and many gay bars within walking distance.
- Hotel Morales Historical & Colonial Downtown Core – Historic four-star hotel with a rooftop pool in the centre of Guadalajara.
- Hotel Casino Plaza – Comfortable four-star option close to Centro Histórico, with easy access to the city’s sights and gay nightlife.
- Hotel de Mendoza – Traditional hotel close to Teatro Degollado and Guadalajara Cathedral, with a pool and central location.
- Hotel Dali Plaza Ejecutivo – Good-value central option within walking distance of Guadalajara Cathedral and Centro nightlife.
Centro Histórico or Chapultepec?
- Choose Centro Histórico if you want traditional gay nightlife, historic architecture and many of the city’s long-established LGBTQ+ venues within walking distance.
- Choose Colonia Americana or Chapultepec if you prefer cafés, restaurants, cocktail bars and larger contemporary clubs. The Pride Village is centred around Andador Chapultepec and Avenida México during Orgullo Panamericano.
- For Pride 2027, both areas work well. Staying between Centro and Colonia Americana gives you easy access to the marches, Pride Village and nightlife.
Getting Around During Pride
- Guadalajara is a large city, but the areas most visitors use during Pride are relatively close together.
- Centro Histórico is easy to explore on foot. Avenida Chapultepec and Colonia Americana are approximately 10 minutes away by taxi or rideshare, depending on traffic.
- Use the Mi Tren light-rail system for longer trips and taxis or rideshare apps for late-night journeys.
- Expect road closures and traffic restrictions around both Pride marches on Saturday 12th and Saturday 19th June.
