  • Are you visiting Guadalajara? The Central or eastern area of Zona Centro makes the perfect base to explore the city. It is full of pedestrian-only streets, charming hotels, and feels safe. The DoubleTree by Hilton Guadalajara Centro Historico is rated fabulous and has a wide range of breakfast options, rooms with great views and high-end amenities.

Guadalajara Pride 2027

  • Thursday 10th to Saturday 19th June 2027 – Guadalajara becomes the host city for the first Orgullo Panamericano, a continental Pride celebration bringing together LGBTQ+ communities and delegations from across the Americas.
  • The ten-day program combines two Pride marches with concerts, community events, sport, art, cinema, talks and nightlife.
  • The celebrations extend from Centro Histórico to Avenida Chapultepec, two of the areas visitors are most likely to explore during Pride.
  • Guadalajara’s bars and clubs host their own special Pride parties throughout the celebrations.
  • Stay in Zona Centro for the historic centre, gay bars and easy access to the main Pride events.

Orgullo Panamericano Guadalajara 2027

  • Orgullo Panamericano runs from Thursday 10th to Saturday 19th June 2027 and is billed as the first continental Pride celebration of the Americas.
  • The event brings together delegations from over 30 countries for ten days of LGBTQ+ culture, rights, sport and entertainment.
  • The program includes the Pan-American Pride March, Guadalajara Pride, Pride Village, Diversity Forum, LGBTQ+ cinema, book fair, Pride 5K, sporting events, opening and closing galas and large-scale concerts.

Pride Village

  • The Pride Village takes over Andador Chapultepec and Avenida México during the celebrations.
  • The pedestrian festival area features live music, LGBTQ+ businesses, food, art, community organisations and special activities.
  • Entry to the Pride Village is free.
  • Avenida Chapultepec is surrounded by restaurants, bars and nightlife, making it one of the busiest areas during Pride.

Pan-American Pride March

  • Saturday 12th June 2027 from 4 pm.
  • The Marcha Panamericana del Orgullo brings LGBTQ+ groups and delegations from over 30 countries together for the first continental Pride march of the Americas.
  • Expect flags, community groups, performers and visitors from across North, Central and South America.
  • Participation in the march is free.
  • The celebrations continue with a large-scale show featuring live music, DJs, drag and performances.
  • Final operational details and the complete route will be published closer to Pride.

Guadalajara Pride Parade

  • Saturday 19th June 2027 from 3 pm.
  • The traditional Guadalajara Pride march provides the big finale to ten days of Pride celebrations.
  • The parade takes over central Guadalajara with LGBTQ+ organisations, floats, performers, music and thousands of participants.
  • Avenida Chapultepec forms part of the traditional Guadalajara Pride route.
  • The march is followed by the closing Pride celebrations, with the complete 2027 entertainment program awaiting announcement.

Plaza Liberación

  • Plaza Liberación in Centro Histórico has traditionally played a major role in Guadalajara Pride celebrations, hosting live shows, drag performances and DJs after the march.
  • For 2027, the wider Orgullo Panamericano program brings several events into the historic centre. Final stage locations, performers and running times will be confirmed closer to the event.

Marica Festival

  • Marica Festival has traditionally added two nights of parties to Guadalajara’s Pride celebrations.
  • Expect guest DJs, drag performers and special events at some of the city’s leading LGBTQ+ venues.
  • The 2027 Marica Festival dates, venues and lineup are awaiting confirmation.

Gay Guadalajara

Guadalajara has one of Mexico’s largest LGBTQ+ nightlife scenes, split mainly between Centro Histórico and the area around Colonia Americana and Avenida Chapultepec.

  • Centro Histórico has a large concentration of traditional gay bars, cantinas, drag venues and late-night clubs. The scene is compact and easy to explore on foot.
  • Colonia Americana and Avenida Chapultepec offer a broader mix of cocktail bars, clubs, restaurants and terraces, with a younger mixed LGBTQ+ crowd.
  • The two areas are a short taxi or rideshare journey apart, making it easy to visit both during a night out.
  • Guadalajara is a good addition to a longer Mexican itinerary combining Mexico City and Puerto Vallarta.

Gay Bars & Clubs in Guadalajara

  • California’s Bar – Compact gay video bar in Centro Histórico with pop, cumbia, affordable drinks and a fun local crowd. It gets packed later on weekends.
  • Babel Club – Large multi-level gay nightclub with electronic music, go-go dancers, drag and different dance areas.
  • Xico – Stylish multi-level LGBTQ+ venue with cocktails, reggaeton and a younger weekend crowd.
  • Envy – Gay nightclub in Colonia Americana with DJs, pop and reggaeton, close to the Chapultepec nightlife area.
  • Six Colors – Two-level gay bar with a rooftop terrace, drag, karaoke and go-go dancers in Centro.
  • La Gozadera – Popular gay bar and club mixing pop, drag, go-go dancers and different music across its floors.
  • Green Light – Open-air gay bar with a terrace, drag shows and go-go dancers, popular from afternoon drinks through late night.
  • Voltio Bar – Men-only fetish bar with leather and underwear nights, strippers and a darkroom.

Where to Stay for Guadalajara Pride

  • Stay in Centro Histórico if you want to be close to the traditional gay bars and historic sights. Colonia Americana and Chapultepec work well for visitors who prefer restaurants, terraces and contemporary nightlife.
  • Hotel Real Maestranza – Our preferred choice in Guadalajara, with modern rooms in Centro Histórico and many gay bars within walking distance.
  • Hotel Morales Historical & Colonial Downtown Core – Historic four-star hotel with a rooftop pool in the centre of Guadalajara.
  • Hotel Casino Plaza – Comfortable four-star option close to Centro Histórico, with easy access to the city’s sights and gay nightlife.
  • Hotel de Mendoza – Traditional hotel close to Teatro Degollado and Guadalajara Cathedral, with a pool and central location.
  • Hotel Dali Plaza Ejecutivo – Good-value central option within walking distance of Guadalajara Cathedral and Centro nightlife.

Centro Histórico or Chapultepec?

  • Choose Centro Histórico if you want traditional gay nightlife, historic architecture and many of the city’s long-established LGBTQ+ venues within walking distance.
  • Choose Colonia Americana or Chapultepec if you prefer cafés, restaurants, cocktail bars and larger contemporary clubs. The Pride Village is centred around Andador Chapultepec and Avenida México during Orgullo Panamericano.
  • For Pride 2027, both areas work well. Staying between Centro and Colonia Americana gives you easy access to the marches, Pride Village and nightlife.

Getting Around During Pride

  • Guadalajara is a large city, but the areas most visitors use during Pride are relatively close together.
  • Centro Histórico is easy to explore on foot. Avenida Chapultepec and Colonia Americana are approximately 10 minutes away by taxi or rideshare, depending on traffic.
  • Use the Mi Tren light-rail system for longer trips and taxis or rideshare apps for late-night journeys.
  • Expect road closures and traffic restrictions around both Pride marches on Saturday 12th and Saturday 19th June.

Guadalajara Pride 2027 at a Glance

  • Thursday 10th June – Orgullo Panamericano opens in Guadalajara.
  • Saturday 12th June – Pan-American Pride March from 4 pm.
  • 10th–19th June – Pride Village, cultural events, sport, LGBTQ+ cinema, talks, parties & special events across Guadalajara.
