The Events
- Friday 20th September – Sunday 22nd September, 2024 – Who doesn’t love a sexy cowboy! Come join the hottest cowboys in the state and beyond for the annual gay rodeo event in Las Vegas.
- BigHorn Rodeo Las Vegas features a variety of traditional events, including bull riding, bareback bronc riding, calf roping and barrel racing.
- The event also includes a number of “camp” events that distinguish the circuit: goat dressing, in which two contestants try to slip a pair of white jocks on a goat; steer decorating, which requires two participants to tie a ribbon on a steer’s tail; and the fan-favorite wild drag racing.
- Those looking for entertainment should be satisfied by the royalty competition, where cowboys and cowgirls, some in drag, show off their stuff, from lip syncing to comedy.
- For the perfect stay, book your room at The Palazzo at the Venetian, rated “Excellent” by guests with spacious rooms and suites, and a warm gay-friendly welcome.
About The Rodeo
- This isn’t an average amateur rodeo. It’s a stop on the International Gay Rodeo Association circuit. Men and women can participate in all events as long as they are 18 or older.
- Formed in 1985, the International Gay Rodeo Association hosts several events across the U.S. raising money for charities. Individuals can participate regardless of their sexual orientation, but the circuit allows cowboys and cowgirls in the LBTQ community in particular to feel comfortable doing something they love.
The Venue
- The event takes place in Horseman’s Park in Las Vegas. Rodeo gates open at 9pm.
- Happy hours fun from 4pm to 7pm.
- Horseman’s Park is an equestrian event venue with 20+ acres of barns, arenas, picnic areas, horse stalls & parking. It is a 17 minute drive from the strip.
