- XION hosts four parties across Atlanta Pride weekend, mixing prime-time circuit sessions with its famous early-morning afterhours.
- Expect high-energy house, big production, sexy dancers and a predominantly male crowd.
- The weekend runs alongside Atlanta Pride, with the festival and parade centred around Piedmont Park in Midtown.
- Book tickets in advance. The afterhours sessions are some of the busiest late-night parties of Pride weekend.
- Parties run from 9 pm to 3 am on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
- Events take over 2069 Events. Full lineup to be confirmed.
The Venue
- 2069 Events is at 2069 Cheshire Bridge Road NE, beneath The Heretic, one of Atlanta’s best-known gay clubs.
- The underground space has a raw, industrial feel designed for late-night parties, DJ sets and large Pride weekend events.
- Its Cheshire Bridge location puts you close to several of Atlanta’s established gay bars and around a 10-minute drive from the Pride celebrations at Piedmont Park.
- XION uses the darker underground setting for its afterhours sessions, creating a much more intimate experience than a conventional large-scale circuit venue.
Where to Go Before XION
- The Heretic – The obvious place to start, directly above 2069 Events. The long-running gay club attracts a predominantly male crowd for circuit nights, leather events and major Pride parties.
- BJ Roosters – Gay bar on Cheshire Bridge Road with dancers, DJs, pool tables and a cruisier late-night crowd, just steps from the XION venue.
- Woofs Atlanta – Popular gay sports bar with a relaxed crowd, plenty of screens and a full food menu. A good choice for dinner and drinks before the late-night parties.
- Atlanta Eagle – Atlanta’s famous leather and fetish bar on Piedmont Avenue, attracting bears, leather guys, pups and their admirers across several bar and social spaces.

The Atlanta gay population lives, works and plays all over the city and even into the suburbs. Midtown has several of the city’s most popular gay bars like Blake’s, Burkhart’s Pub, Bulldogs and Swinging Richards. The Atlanta LBGT populace is also partially responsible for the resurgence of Grant Park in the 1980s. The historic neighborhood was falling into ruins when members of the community started scooping up properties, renovating and restoring them to their original glory. This fever pitch trickled over into the neighborhoods of East Atlanta, Ormewood Park and the Old Fourth Ward. These are all eclectic, funky and tolerant neighborhoods, like most of Atlanta.
