Think hot cowboys, tight jeans, boots and big hats and fun in the sun, Arizona Style at the annual Arizona Gay Rodeo, held annually each February.

The Rodeo
- Next Edition: Friday 14th – Sunday 16th February, 2025.
- The Arizona Gay Rodeo is an AGRA-sanctioned rodeo. The event also includes camp drag events, vendors, food, full-service bars, drag performances, dancing, rodeo royalty, games and more – all in a festival-style atmosphere.
- Traditional Rodeo events include bull riding, steer riding, chute dogging, calf roping (on foot), mounted breakaway roping, barrel racing, pole bending, flag race, team roping, steer decorating, *goat dressing and a *wild drag race.
- Events are adjusted to accommodate competitors of different skill levels.
- Enjoy after parties in Phoenix once the Rodeo ends. Stay close to the bars at Embassy Suites, featuring an indoor pool, gym and highly-rated breakfasts.
The Entertainment
- Enjoy the best live shows and performances each day during the Arizona Gay Rodeo.
- The first shows kick off on Friday from 8pm.
- Saturday shows kick off at 1pm and continue all day with some excellent local acts and international stars.
- Enjoy the Icon Show featuring the top Impersonators from 5.30pm
- Charlies Dancers from 8.30pm and dancing from 9pm.
- Sunday shows begin at 1pm and with performances running right up to 7pm.
The Venue
- The Gay Rodeo takes place just outside of Phoenix, at Corona Ranch, with all proceeds from the event being donated to local charities.
- You can take one of the outrageous party shuttles put on my many bars and clubs to get you to the event! A taxi takes about 20 minutes from the gay district in Melrose.
- The event runs from Friday 5 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday gates open at 9 a.m. and rodeo begins at 10 a.m.
Phoenix Gay Scene
- The Melrose District of Central Phoenix is where you will find the city’s de facto gayborhood and has been growing in recent years.
- Most of the gay businesses concentrated between 7th Ave and 7th Street and Indian School and Camelback Mountain roads.
